My place has been a century-old traditional inn and recently renovated into a spacious Kyo-Machiya style inn named "KINKAKU-RO", where you can feel both traditional and modern sense, officially licensed by the local government. It is located at a quiet residential area in the north part of Kyoto within a walking distance from the famous tourist attractions such as Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) and Kitano Temmangu. Five free rental bicycles allow you to have an easy access to other nice spots.

The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

Nearby there is the Kamigamo-shrine and Shimogamo-shrine,which are both world heritage. And you can get to the famous Kinkaku-ji(world heritage) by bus about 20 minutes. If you want to go to the Daitoku-ji or Imamiya-shrine,You can walk there about 15 minutes.Also you can enjoy Kamo-riverside walk with easy access. Our guesthouse rocated in the shopping street,which has many shops and restaurants. So you could enjoy shopping and eating out there.

'SAIGU' is a distinctly quaint 120-year-old Kyoto Machiya in the north-west area of Kyoto city. In 2010, the house was carefully and lovingly restored to its original beautiful style. It has four bedrooms so can accommodate 4 people comfortably, or 8 people max. The house is about 92 square meters.
