Fossil Cottage - cosy seashore retreat

Fossil Cottage is a unique small cottage right by the seashore on the Isle of Skye, one of the world's favourite islands. Comfort, character and charm in abundance, built from local stone with ancient embedded fossils, this special place has a very peaceful and soothing atmosphere. Escape the city stress! Wonderful views and wildlife. A paradise for bird and otter spotters - and anyone interested in fossils. A lovely beach is close by and the village and restaurants are a couple of miles away.

A unique chance to stay at what can only be described as one of the more beautiful locations in the Scottish Highlands. A stone's throw from the crystal clear waters of Loch Carron. Our quaint 160 year old fisherman's cottage, coupled with its incredible seaside location makes for a perfect relaxing and romantic getaway. Situated beside Camustianavaig Bay, the house enjoys a rural location, yet is only five miles from Portree. NB: the five-mile road to Camustianavaig is a single track (tarmac) road.
