Grandpa's House

Walking distance to downtown, this is the perfect home for your mountain experience. The front section of this house was rolled down on logs by my grandfather from the East side of Leadville's historic mining district. From there it was built it into a two bedroom house which is now fully renovated for you to enjoy your mountain stay. Enjoy things nearby such as the Mineral Belt Trail, easy access to hiking and biking trials, and a short drive to Turquoise Lake, Twin Lakes, and Ski Cooper.

As you enjoy the tranquility of National Forest just barely out the front door, know that this cabin is still a short drive from Leadville, or Buena Vista for your city fix. You can walk to town to shop for a unique Leadville treasure, grab a cup of coffee, or meet friends for dinner. *One week minimum during the bike and run 100m races.

You're only a few blocks away from downtown Leadville with activities close by such as the Mineral Belt Trail, the Leadville Railroad, Mosquito Pass, all local restaurants, attractions such as the museums and Turquoise Lake. If you are a skier then you will be satisfied that the nearby ski resorts like Ski Cooper and Copper Mountain are only less than half an hour away.

Cozy at 10,200 ft in Leadville. This house is a perfect getaway for up to 6 people. A large kitchen to cook, with views of Mt. Elbert the tallest mountain in Colorado. This home is in walking distance to town, for coffee, food, or other amenities. Plan for a relaxing Getaway without the distractions of every day life; there is internet but no television at the home.
