Our house sits at the bottom of a secret track in a private, historical cove on the beautiful Hebridean island of Lismore. Secluded, quiet and peaceful, Port Moluag is within easy reach of the Scottish mainland whilst feeling totally removed from the pace and noise of city life. The house is newly-built using eco technologies to limit its environmental impact and is surrounded by wonderful wildlife such as seals, otters, and a multitude of birds as well as many sites of historical interest.

On a clear evening the stars fill the sky. The walks directly around the lodge are full of history and stunning views including a waterfall.

Argyll Retreat is a cosy timber cabin located in the Argyll Forest Park and Loch Lomond and Trossachs Natiomal Park. It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers. Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains. The lodge is also a great place to relax. Enjoy. The Bolthole is an artist designed cabin with utterly spellbinding views down Loch Awe. It is an off grid, furnished and very cosy cabin which sleeps 2 in a double bed. Relax by the woodburning stove, boil a cup of tea in the whistling kettle while you watch the birds, or walk 80m to the loch to wild swim, fish, read in one of the hammocks or have a barbecue. Lie out on dark evenings to watch the stars, enjoy the silence and escape from the demands of the modern world..

The cottage was built around 1890 to house the Ploughman for Goatfield Farm, and has been extensively remodelled to create a unique getaway.
