A cosy industrial-inspired cottage on the edge of the Lake District National Park, nestled in the picturesque Eden Valley. Designed for comfort and convenience, our space features a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed Starlink WiFi, an EV charge point, and luxurious Simba memory foam beds. Unwind in the roll-top copper bathtub, elegantly set upon a mezzanine platform. We are located in a peaceful village, so ask guests to be mindful of noise. We are not suitable for loud parties or celebrations.

Hilltop Lodge (retreat & wildlife), Colby, Appleby

Hilltop Lodge is a beautiful detached timber building set in enclosed garden (perfect for dogs). It's open plan, with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm on a winter's evening, with well-equipped kitchen and dining area. It has large windows with lots of natural light. The garden is abundant in wildlife throughout the year, and has a lovely terrace to sit out on with comfortable outdoor seating. It’s a great base for relaxing, enjoying wildlife, adventuring, or being creative. 11am checkout.

The Barn - a luxury rural barn conversion

The Barn is 18th Century and recently converted. It has 1 bedroom with a Super king zip and link bed which can also be made up as a twin if requested. The space is beautifully furnished and equipped with an electric Aga, washing machine, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Excellent Starlink WIFI for remote working. Tongue Cottage is a delightful one bedroomed property in Watermillock. An area of outstanding natural beauty within the Lake District National Park, only a mile from Ullswater. It provides a unique location for walking, honeymoons, or romantic getaways and is perfect for that special anniversary, birthday or simply for those just wanting to relax. Located next to the owners’ home, but still maintaining solitude and privacy, the cottage is surrounded by open fields and is a haven for wildlife.

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

18th Century Country Cottage on a working farm

The Old Smithy was the original farm house built in the 18th Century. Completely renovated from derelict in 2002 and freshly redecorated in 2021, it boasts many of its original features; including the old fire range which will keep you warm on those winter nights (an initial basket of logs is F.O.C.) Downstairs, sandstone flag floors and oak beamed ceilings are throughout. A biomass boiler heats the cottage with timber sourced from the farm. Includes laundry, towels, heating and electricity.

The Old Tannery

A traditional sandstone barn conversion, with a sheltered garden in the beautiful village of Temple Sowerby. Located in the Eden Valley you will be well placed for trips to the Lakes or the Dales. In the village there is a local pub offering 'Day Fishing Licences' on the local river, a church and 'The House at Temple Sowerby' if you prefer some 'Fine Dining'. A short beautiful walk will bring you to 'Acorn Bank' National Trust House, with spectacular walks along the river and a tea room.
