Our cabin is located 12 miles out of Franklin, NC near the Little Tennessee River. We are in easy traveling distance to whitewater rafting, kayaking both flat water and whitewater, fly fishing rivers, gem mining, zip lining, horseback riding, Deep Creek tubing, river tubing , The Appalachian Trail, hiking trails, waterfalls, Smoky Mountain Train excursions, Cherokee attractions/casino, Dollywood, Smoky Mountain National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, Elk viewings and Biltmore Estate in Asheville.

This cabin is close to Western Carolina University ( about 4 miles), Cullowhee, Sylva and Cashiers, NC. You’ll love this home because of the views, the coziness, woodburning fireplace, firepit, convenience and unique decorations ( I call it the museum in honor of my grandparents). In addition to two bedrooms, there are bunk beds in the loft for the kids. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

Central heat/AC, a gas fireplace, gas stove, gas grill, covered deck, YouTube tv, cornhole and outdoor firepit are among the amenities.

If your idea of a vacation is serenity and relaxation, then the Deerfield Cottage is for you. The property sits on 12 acres, nestled in the Wayah valley just six miles from historical Franklin, NC. In the early mornings or at dusk, look for the deer that frequent the property. Often you will see fawns frolicking in the field under the fruit trees. A 100 year old corn crib harkens back to the early days when this land was part of a working farm.

Lovely one bedroom cabin in Glenville, North Carolina featuring hardwood floors and whitewashed shiplap walls. The cabin has a full kitchen, a shower bath, and a queen bed. We are 5 miles from Cashiers, 15 miles from Highlands, 1.5 miles from Sawyer Family Farmstead, and 2.5 miles from the public launch on Lake Glenville. Nearby, there are lots of hiking trails to beautiful waterfalls, stunning vistas, and unique geological formations.
