The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Permaculture garden stay - 2 bedrooms

Cosy, clean, quiet and spacious 2 bedroom garden apartment with separate lounge, kitchen and bathroom, with every amenity for a great stay. Large paved patio with barbecue and outdoor furniture and views over the acre of permaculture garden. Adults and children over 13 only (garden safety issues). Two mins walk to Locals cafe, 2 mins drive to takeaways/bars, 5 mins drive to centre of town, coastal walkway, galleries, and museum. Ten mins drive to Pukekura park for Womad and Bowl concerts.

Our Studio Verde has been prepared with care for our guests. You can walk to famous Pukekura Park and the Bowl of Brooklands in just a few minutes. Mountain biking/hiking at Lake Mangamahoe is less than 10 minutes drive. Relax in a tranquil setting surrounded by native bush, enjoy abundant bird life, (plus we have chickens) and a nature track that runs behind our property and connects to the Te Henui walkway and spectacular New Plymouth Coastal walkway. The Village hosts a cafe, petrol station, large mountain bike park, NZ's largest Holden Museum with luge and mini golf.

Less than 5 minutes drive to central New Plymouth. Includes free Wifi

Kaitake Kabana - Unique Studio Retreat
