The Blue Beach House

Come and stay in our awesome and sunny guest house in Mangawhai Heads! Only 15 minutes walk from the estuary beach, the Wood street shops and 30 minutes walk to the popular surf beach! You will love staying here, the apartment has large north facing triple stacker sliding doors that you can leave open to soak in the all day sun! Even in winter you will feel like you are in the middle of summer. You will also enjoy amazing views of the Brynderwyns and fresh fruits from our garden (in season)!

Sea and rural surroundings, convenient position.

The Chalet will be clean, spacious and convenient to everything available in this beautiful environment. You will have a generous view of our estuary and sandhills to the front. Then as the property backs on to a farm there is a very strong rural feel, with wide views of Bream Tail Farm and the Brynderwyn hills. Trek the Goldschmidt track to the beach from the top end of Cullen St or 25 minutes walk by road. The estuary walk is about 10 minutes via the shortcut track halfway down the road.

Whananaki Barn - Cottage 2

Whananaki Barn is on 15 acres of lifestyle block overlooking the sea. It is totally OFF GRID so if you love peace and tranquillity this is the place for you! It has great views of both the native bush and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the beauty, the outdoor space, the sunrise and sunsets and it is off-grid!. Your own three private cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. The bedroom opens out to a covered deck, and the full kitchen has a covered area with a large outdoor dining table and gas BBQ. Up the steps to the bathroom with a fresh, waterless, European electric toilet. Close to nature, beaches, markets, walks, cafes and fun.

Taurikura Peninsula Seaview Private Cabin and Camp

Comfortable, compact (5m x 3m) self-contained cabin for 2, upon a stunning private hilltop overlooking Taurikura Bay, Whangarei Heads. Affordable peace, quiet and privacy is our aim (1 night stays available most days). Grass camping space available (campers #3-8 will need to bring own tent/bed/linen /consumable items and supplies). The parking area is not situated by the cabin so sleeping in vehicles can only be done so at separate ends of the property. Safe ample parking sites available.
