You can just relax in the rural retreat or explore the local area, where you will find, wild swimming, hiking in the Black Mountains, Forest of Dean or the scenic Wye Valley. An internal bathroom with double size power shower will ensure a luxurious experience. Its character wood stove will keep you cosy all year round. It is tastefully converted; sleeps 4 and has a well equipped kitchen and open plan dining/living area, plus a walk in shower room. The South-facing patio has beautiful views across the valley, perfect for enjoying a meal. Free parking and good wifi. Numerous walks from the door, to pubs, forests and the River Wye. Short drive to Monmouth and lots of visitor attractions.

Escape back to nature in our idyllic, custom-built shepherd’s hut. Nestled on the hillside of a beautiful Welsh farm, the hut boasts stunning countryside views in all directions with an outlook on the Skirrid mountain. Situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, a mile from Offa’s Dyke Path, the hut is perfectly located for walking, cycling, horse-riding and more. Fully-equipped with a cosy wood stove and outdoor fire pit, our hut is a magical place to sit back and unwind.

Farm stay, in beautiful rural Monmouthshire

We are a working dairy goat farm, milking 600 goats twice a day. Our milk goes into a delicious soft goats cheese, which is made in the neighbouring town of Abergavenny and sold through many of the large supermarkets. We are ideally situated for cycling and walking, with many footpaths nearby, including Offa's Dyke and a fabulous range of mountains. We are within 2 miles of the renowned Michelin star Walnut Tree Inn and there are many other wonderful country pubs in the locality.

Daisy Lodge is set in the garden of our beautiful country home, see location photo for proximity to our home. We are 3.2 miles from the wonderful market town of Abergavenny, gateway to the Beacons National Park. We have amazing views of Skirrid Mountain and countryside. You can roam freely around our 5 acres of land/garden . We supply outside furniture and sole use of our external hot tub, please note it’s available for use all year around, a disclaimer to be signed prior to use.

A beautifully restored Victorian railway carriage hand-crafted by Graham from local hillside timber with star gazing clear roof above the bed. Spring Farm’s authentic railway carriage is set in a secluded orchard with stunning panoramic views down the whole length of the Bryn Awr valley to the Brecon Beacons. With commanding views over Monmouth, the Wye Valley and beyond, Wern Farm Cottage is a cosy but spacious recluse ideally situated for all that Monmouthshire has to offer. Light, airy and welcoming with zip and link beds. We can accommodate 2-4 flexible to your needs. We are in a great spot for the Forest of Dean, the Brecon Beacons, Bike Park Wales, Cannop Cycle Centre and the Offa’s Dyke Path. There are lovely walks right from the door and so much to do nearby!

Cosy Cottage | Dog Friendly | Wye Valley

Mill Cottage is a delightful stone cottage situated on a private lane in the heart of a pretty village located on the River Wye. The original cottage is over 150 years old and was the home of the sawmill manager, who ran the nearby sawmill, which has long since disappeared. It is now a lovely holiday cottage, that sleeps two couples and one well-behaved dog. It overlooks a pretty church and is very conveniently located for the village pub.
