Ennerdale with its beautiful remote & deep glacial lake, is only 5 miles away.

Several picturesque walks are within easy reach or can be a base to further explore the Western Lake district and beyond. A short car drive and you can visit a number of iconic locations such as Ennerdale Water, Loweswater, St Bees and historic Whitehaven. This property is only 200 yards from the C2C cycle way for cyclists and walkers. Longlands lake is also nearby.

It has a suntrap back garden and is only 10 minutes walk to the beach. It's ideal for a relaxing holiday. Refurbished Victorian cottage, a short walk from the beach, RSPB reserve on the cliff tops, Railway Station and Post Office with convenience store. Upstairs there are views of the sea, St Bees Head and the Isle of Man too on a clear day. The cottage was built in 1870 and we have furnished it in keeping with its period but the kitchen and bathroom have modern fittings. There is a garden area available to sit outside in summer. A wood-burning stove can be lit for cosy evenings on chillier days.
