Your blacksmithing adventure will include three hours of hands on instruction as you create your very own masterpiece. Your experience will start with a brief orientation to The Forge at Quiver Full Farm. During this orientation time we will make sure each participant is dressed and prepared with all necessary equipment to have a SAFE forging experience. We will be working with equipment that reach temperatures greater than 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. This experience requires participants to be attentive and be able to physically exert themselves. We will have all participants sign a safety liability waiver before starting. If you are under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate. Jeremy will introduce you to all of the equipment that you will be using while creating your forged piece. He will give detailed and guided instruction on how to use these tools. From there you will choose one of several projects to create. Jeremy will be there to guide you, assist you, and maintain a safe working environment while you create your masterpiece. Other things to note This experience is for adults and children over the age of 14. If you have sensitivities to smoke and heat this may not be the experience for you.

After our introduction you will be given a brief history on the founding of Sankofa Farms. Once completed you will be fitted for a beekeeping suit and introduced to all of the equipment you will need to start you own hive! Once the review is complete we will travel to our apiary on site and you will be given a hands on experience in our hives. This session will comprise of how to inspect a beehive, how to properly use beekeeping equipment , and how to spot your queen Bee! Other things to note Once you arrive to our location you will travel down a gravel road. At the end of the road make a left turn toward a our red barn and I will greet you once you arrive! great for groups", "great for teams”, and “great for team-building"

We will be exploring a couple of the best breweries of Asheville by SUP and kayak on the French Broad! 21&up. We’ll meet you at White Duck Taco where you’ll leave your car and we will shuttle bus you to the starting point. This river is flat and wide, an easy beginner run, winding through the river arts district. Our guides will help you learn to kayak or SUP if you are new to it. It is a scenic and fun way to get to the breweries. Great for groups, solo travelers or couples, because you make friends with your crew throughout the afternoon. We have dry bags for personal items, dress to get wet and still be able to walk a block or two. Our takeouts are riverside banks, not docks, so ability to get out of your boat and walk up a trail is required. A sample or two can be provided at the breweries, but bring your wallet to purchase beer and food.

Be a jeweler for a day by creating your own keepsake hammered sterling silver stacking rings. We'll start off by getting you settled into the studio before teaching you the basics of metalsmithing. We'll cut silver, learn how to solder the rings together with propane torches and then learn how to polish them to make them shiny! Once you learn the basics, you can add textures to make your ring unique, and make two beautiful stacking rings!This is a wonderful experience to bring home a memorable souvenir from your trip to Asheville. Afterwards, feel free to peruse our beautiful gallery and walk around the River Arts District to get get inspired by the over 200 working artists in the warehouses. It is my hope that you will gain knowledge of the candle making process by providing you with a fun, and creative space to create your own candles from the guidance of your candle connoisseur. This experience is one of a kind and I would like to provide you with the best experience. *Pour Session: You will select your desired fragrances from “The Raw Edition Cocktail Menu," which, offers suggested blends that complement each other for a harmonious fragrance, before being led through each step of the candle pouring process. 
You will receive 1- 12 oz ceramic candle vessel, cotton wick, warning label, and all other necessary supplies to make your very own candle. It will take your candles approximately about 45 mins to 1 hour from your pour time to set. *While You Wait: Take some time to listen to a curated playlist, play some games, enjoy a drink/snack, or take in some great conversation. To top it off, take a picture and tag us in it in to let your friends know you just poured HAPPINESS in a glass!

In our Fluid Painting Workshop you will learn the techniques, tips and tricks of Acrylic Pouring. We will demonstrate the “Dirty Pour, Ribbon Pour, and Swirly Pour” methods. In addition you will learn what colors work best together so you can avoid "muddied" results. All participants will get three 8x10 Canvases to create their unique pours on. No experience is necessary to come in and create your own beautiful paintings! Warning**Please read: Paint Pouring can be very addictive. You’ll have so much fun you will want to do it again & again! Your guide is very well experienced and active in the local and state beekeeping community. He is currently the Vice President and Education Director for the local chapter. We will provide the proper personal protection equipment for this day. We ask you wear clothing suitable for a farm, pants, closed toe shoes ect... We have a closed observation hive we will go through first to get you comfortable around bees and what to expect before going into a full hive. Light the smoker and jump on in! This is where we get to see all of the workings of the Colony. We will explain all that is going on and if we are lucky we will spot the queen! Pictures with your new friends! We will provide plenty of opportunities for you to get up close and personal with your new family. Revel in the surrealism Take a moment and be proud of what you have learned, and just how close you have become to one of nature's true miracles. This unique hands-on experience is the best way to learn about the importance of honeybees! We will suit up and open up the hive to see how bees live, work, and produce honey. Enjoy playing on Lake James with our MasterCraft NXT20 ski boat, which is versatile for waterskiing, Wakesurfing and wakeboarding. I am an experienced instructor to help you learn or improve skills. We also have tubes, fun for the whole family and all skill levels. If you would like to add an hour or 2 onto your day, contact us, it would be $150/hour add on. This Chef's Table experience will be a succulent journey of flavors, set in an atmosphere more scaled back and intimate than the typical restaurant dinner rush. Imagine it like going to a friends house for dinner, who loves to cook. Except the friend is a veteran Personal Chef who manages a Catering company and is fully food safe certified. You will be welcomed into the Chef's home with custom Charcuterie and beverages. You will be served palette cleansers and soups/salads featuring house-made dressings. The main course will follow and will consist of Signature recipes as well as imaginative culinary experiments chocked full of herbs, spices and infusions that have intrigued your host. The freshly prepared flavor profiles are as delicious, as they are lyrical. And you WILL want to ensure you save room for dessert whether it's made in-house or provided by one of the Chef's uber-talented cohorts. We will pick you up from your AirBnB in Hendersonville, ChimneyRock or Asheville area (within reasonable distance). For private groups our itinerary is very customizable, there are a few great vineyards in the Hendersonville area, can add a brewery or distillery in if you like etc. Usually we stop at about 3 places depending on your pace, and have good recommendations. We will have a cooler on board with bottled water, feel free to bring drinks along. You are allowed to drink on board while we cruise, just no liquor allowed. All wine tastings or purchases at locations are on your own tab. Prices per glass or flight range from $7-15. Wineries often have live music. Private larger groups we can pick you up from your airbnb in the Asheville, Hendersonville or Chimney Rock Area.

This experience is great for those who traveled long hours especially across the ocean or country. It will help to feel more grounded and recover from jet lag quickly. It is also great for stress relief and emotional balance restoration. Or if you want to experience something new and unique and need to connect to your Self on deep level this is for you! We start with a short guided meditation which helps you start to feel comfortable and more relaxed. You will be sitting in chair or laying down on yoga mat whatever is more comfortable for you. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, but I do have extras. Then you will be surrounded by sound of seven gongs. After few minutes you will enter a meditative state and your own inner experience. The sound of gong penetrates, cleans, invigorates, rejuvenates, and connects you to your soul, your highest infinite self. Discover what will be yours. We will begin the tour by giving loads of information about goat care and dairy farming. Guests will have the option to play and interact with goats. You’ll definitely want to wear shoes that can stand getting dirty for this part. Goats poop wherever and whenever they want. We will finish the tour with an elaborate tasting of the 10 fresh cheese varieties we make weekly on the farm. We conduct our tours rain or shine. We have spare umbrellas if needed. Finally, we cannot have other animals on the farm. Our livestock guardian dogs need to remain wary of any other animals. Herb Walk and Talk, Learn to ID plants at a local forest park ! Join Miles, an herb and plant enthusiast, for an herb walk at a local forest park in Hillsborough, NC. As we stroll through the beautiful forest, we will learn about different local medicinal and edible plants, how to find them, and how to identify them. We can also describe some of the processes of creating medicines from plants, and self healing ! Learn how to meditate by identifying plants and feel the peace ! We will meet 9am at Cates Creek Park. Please write us about other timings or larger groups. Our walk lasts 1 hr. Pants are recommended but not required if you prefer to stay cool in shorts/skirts! Next, they will choose your lip base. We offer a variety of bases which includes: lip gloss, crème base, matte, and liquid matte. 3. A Lip Artist will assist them in creating their very own custom shade by selecting from our wide variety of color pigments. We can create any color you desire. Our guest may also select special add-ons for their lipstick or lip gloss such as, scents, flavors, lip plumper, sunscreen, or glitter. 4. Guest will Mix, Blend, and Create their very own individually designed Lipstick or Lip Gloss! 5. We will start at the top of the field walking around our pastures, checking our fences along way enjoying the peacefulness that nature brings and heading into the forest and around the pastures up hills and forest where our highland cows reside. Sharing with you about out breed of cows and what they are known for. We will explore how they interact with each of us their mannerisms and irresistible cuteness. While circling the pastures we have other animals you may interact with that include 5 Scottish highland cows and their calves who were born during the year, our goats &livestock guardian dogs. We will end our visit at the west pasture sharing treats with the animals and petting the cows. In the riding ring, you will have the opportunity to mount your horse and learn how to steer and control your horse and become comfortable before embarking on the trail ride. Once you are comfortable, you will be guided on a private tour of our 52 acre estate where you will go through woods, open fields, across ridge lines and enjoy being on a horse with breathtaking mountain views. On the ride we will also snap a few complimentary pictures for you to share with friends and family or add to your social media. At the end of your ride, we will help you dismount and you will have the opportunity to love on your horse and snap a few extra last minute selfies.

During the 90-minute experience, guests will enjoy Smokey's Run Mini-Ranch! First, we'll have a 'Meet & Greet' with Goon & Scuba the ranch's sweet and silly Nigerian Dwarf goats, where I will share fun facts about goats that you never knew! Then all together we will take a golf cart tour of the working mini-ranch, always a highlight! Enjoy a fun ride on the trails while learning what it takes to keep a mini-ranch going day-to-day! Then, we'll pet and groom our favorite miniature horse, Buster! He's a very sweet and semi-retired driving pony, and a famous favorite of the mini-ranch! I will show you how to care for a miniature horse and you'll have the opportunity to get to know Buster better, and to understand horse care in general. Once Buster is brushed and looking his best, he'll be ready to harness up to his cart for a demonstration of what he used to do (all the time) in 'his glory days!' And you'll learn some interesting things about 'driving horses' that you often see in parades. Near the end of the experience, we'll relax on the covered patio next to the riding ring and enjoy a refreshing cold drink and tasty snack watching Buster and his goat buddies, all the while taking in the peaceful tranquility of Smokey's Run Mini-Ranch. Experience the sunrise from up in the mountains! This is Asheville’s only sunrise tour and you will get a front-row seat in our custom Jeep to one of the greatest experiences in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We will drive you up to our favorite sunrise spot (located at 5,000 ft. above sea level!) After a short, 5-10 minute walk, we will arrive at our spot and your guide will brew some fresh local coffee. We will enjoy the coffee as well as the sights, sounds, and smells of waking mountains as we watch the sun come up over the mountains! Your guide will also provide alternative drinks if you aren’t a coffee drinker. We will bring a variety of teas. We will take care of the details like cups, creamers, and sugar. Private Tour: Have a large group? Want a longer hike? Want to customize the trip? Book a private tour, or reach out to discuss your options! IMPORTANT: Mountain weather is extremely unpredictable. Fog and clouds can come through in minutes. As a result, clear viewing of the sunrise is not guaranteed, but we will try our best to get you to see the sunrise. If the weather becomes dangerous and we must cancel the trip, you will receive a full refund.
