Wild Løvstakken hike- feel as a local in Bergen city center
Every neighbor in Bergen has their own mountain. Did you know that?? Exactly, Bergen is surrounded by 7 beautiful mountains and each neighborhood has a mountain near by! I'm so lucky to have my one. The one with the best views! Løvstakken has a 360 degrees view from the top. From there, we’ll see the ocean, the city and all the small islands around and the fjord. Also, it's one of the quietest and very paceful (It's surrounded just by locals). It's possible to see some deers and other small animals on their daily life. This peak is 477meters high and we’ll climb almost from the sea level. The terrain can be challenging for non experienced hikers, so it’s required previous experience on rocky terrains hikes. This climb is something very typical in our daily life. Would do you like to have a mountain as a backyard??? I’ll tell you about our lifestyle and culture… If you are a nature lover, definitly, you will fall in love with Norway. Would do you join me for this cool and local experience??!! I'm looking forward to cheers with you on the top with some warm tea and local snakcs…The view…is part of the menu too!! Friluftsliv og skål!

The meal includes a snack starter and main course, along with coffee or tea. If you would like a drink, you can let us know ahead of time. If you don't see a date that works for you, send me a message!

Mountain hike to traditional cabin
**Dates are flexible due to weather** We will start by Fløybanen center station, we'll take the cable car up to Mount Fløyen. From there I'll take you on a hike further up the mountain. If you are interested in photography, I'll give some hints and tips during our hike. There are many beautiful spots on the way up. Reaching Rundemanen (568m), I'll take you off the main path, we'll hike for an additional 15-20 min on a secluded path leading to a small hidden cabin. The cabin is over 100 years old, and there is no running water nor electricity. We have to rely on a big fire place for warmth. In the summer when it’s warm we can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Here we'll have hot chocolate/coffee made on a gas stove. While we get warm around the fire I will talk about the history of the cabin and the nearby areas. After spending some time in the cabin, we'll return back to the city. Depending on the weather we have multiple choices for our return path. Other things to note: Guests should be in a normal to good shape, as this hike requires a little skill with uneven terrain and steep hills. Can be suitable for kids and older people as long as you are used to hike freely in nature.
History alive at the cemetery
Cemetery walk Let me take you for a walk in the most surprising open-air museum in Oslo: the historical monument of Our Saviors Cemetery. Explore the funerary art of this beautiful graveyard with its more than 200 years of history as well as the memorial part: the Garden of Honour with the great celebrities of the past as Edvard Munch, Henrik Ibsen, Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson and Henrik Wergeland. The cemetery is protected since 1969, which means that there are no new graves. It will be an offbeat and picturesque stroll in a tranquil atmosphere away from the city’s bustle, a time machine where we can explore this beautiful oasis in the middle of the city, quietly learning about Norwegian history and culture, the artists, the intellectuals, the poets and the feminists struggling for voting rights. I will give you the highlights of the celebrity’s tombs, the must-sees, but also the less-known, beautiful pieces of graveyard art and curious examples of style. As an experienced historical guide, I want to give you a narrative full of energy and passion, going back to the important year of 1814 and the growth of the modern Norwegian nation, balancing anecdotes with historical accuracy and share with you some secrets of the past. Other things to note I will meet you outside the entrance at Ullevålsveien, next to the bus stop called Oslo Katedralskole. The entrance will be opposite the school, were Frimannsgate meets Ullevålsveien. Bus number 37 will take you there, or you can reach it by 20 minutes’ walk from the Central Station.

Small group hunt for the northern lights with photos
Embark on an extraordinary Arctic adventure with our exclusive Northern Lights Tour, a small group excursion designed for a maximum of 6 participants. The tour is guided by Norwegian local guides with experience in Arctic conditions. Our primary goal is to chase clear skies, maximizing our chances of witnessing the enchanting Northern Lights. The excursion spans 5-6 hours and takes us in various directions away from the city lights, allowing us to explore the most promising vantage points for this awe-inspiring natural spectacle. The Arctic weather adds an element of unpredictability to our journey. Some nights, the lights gracefully dance directly above us, creating a surreal atmosphere. Other nights, we embark on a true "hunt," possibly reaching the Finnish border, a 2-3 hour drive from Tromsø. While sightings are frequent, there are no guarantees, making each excursion a unique and thrilling experience. Be prepared for an outdoor experience with a warm car close by. Our small group size allows for flexibility and personalized attention. Throughout the evening, we make several stops to observe the lights, with longer breaks featuring a bonfire, a portion of soup or stew, and hot drinks - all subject to weather and light conditions. Private- and group tours are available upon request.
Ski in the Wild - Lunch -Ideal for beginners
-Escape the crowds. -Perfect for beginners, easier than you believe. -Nice warm lunch/dinner. -One minute after exiting the bus, you have skis on your feet. -Best chance for sun - tour from 10 to 2 o'clock. -Ski, snow, ice and fire. This is Norway. You will be surprised how 'Alaska' the area looks like, so close to the center (25 minutes bus south, from the Opera) After some skiing we will make a fire, and enjoy a warm lunch/dinner in the forest. We will probably not see many people, maybe none. Cross country skiing is kind of mindfullness, and easier than you think. It doesn't get more Norwegian than this: Ski, fire and food over fire - Norwegians favorite activity. With a Norwegian guide. Don't miss this chance to get back to nature! Global warming is here. The last 30 years, the winter has become 39 days shorter here. The time for skiing is now. Sometimes later becomes never. Other things to note If you don't have mittens or wool socks - you can borrow mine (small, medium, large). You don't need to be fit (if you are fit enough to walk for some hours, you will be fit enough)
