The Queen's Hut

The Queen's Hut This picture perfect log cabin sits on the banks of a secluded loch just a stone's throw from Aboyne on Royal Deeside. The Hut was originally built for Queen Mary, the wife of King George V, who enjoyed lunching here during her visits to Balmoral. The property has recently been renovated to a excellent standard and a special effort has been made to honour the history of the Hut and its location on Royal Deeside. Stable Studio at Airlie Castle

A bright and comfortable open-plan space on the first floor of the old stable block on the Airlie estate, in the spectacular Angus Glens. High beamed ceilings give a spacious feel to the main room. Everything here is made from Douglas Fir ply, including walls, floor and furniture. It'll feel very cosy here at night with the lamps lit, the wood fire and the large bed with feather pillows and wool blankets. The loo and bathroom are down 4 steps, please note no dividing door. Minimum stay 1 night.

Equally beautiful in all seasons especially winter being so very cozy, it is fully heated with lots of hot water for the freestanding bath for two.
