The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Ōkato Retro Studio, Taranaki

Cosy self-contained studio, located on Surf Highway 45, the main route through Ōkato village, one of Taranaki’s most historic and creative areas. Only 20 minutes from New Plymouth but far enough to enjoy village life. Explore the mountain or coastal scenic areas with this studio as your base. Fun and stylish this unique space is perfect for those looking to stay somewhere a bit different. Pets allowed - 2 max. Please book your pets in when booking - there is a $30 pet fee. No pets on furniture.

Breakeracre Apartment

A semi-detached 2 bedroom apartment overlooking park like surroundings & view of Oakura Beach & the Tasman Sea. A very short walk will have the sand between your toes and/or a dip in the sea. Entry into the apartment is via your own front door with an outside lock-box holding the key. The apartment has 2 good size bedrooms, both with wardrobes for storage. Bath robes are supplied for up to 4 guests. In the well appointed lounge/dining room area you will also find a TV, CD player & FM radio.

Oakura Studio

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. The studio is separate, fully fenced, lovely and private. It includes a relaxing little Zen garden area. The TV has all of the subscriptions. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, coffee pods, kettle & fridge. The stunning Oakura surf beach and Black Sand Pizzeria is just a 15 minute walk away, the cute little Oakura village, cafes and restaurants, a 12 minute walk away, and the Kaitake Ranges a 15 minute walk.

Kaitake Kabana - Unique Studio Retreat

Escape to the tranquility of Kaitake Kabana, an off-grid studio retreat space, nestled in the foothills of the Kaitake Ranges. This space is ideal for two, perfect for couples looking for a getaway (but can sleep up to 4 people with an extra mattress on the floor). The bathroom space and kitchenette are detached from the main living space. There is no wifi here and limited reception, come to embrace the serenity and switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Graveyards, Rocky Point and Puniho’s on your doorstep. Mt Taranaki stretches to the horizon behind you. Whether you surf, fish or just want to relax with a book while listening to the sound of waves, you’ll be able to relax as you choose. Children love to explore the rocks, and pools during low tide. Our private enclave of 9 houses is nestled at the end of a private drive and is home to a mix of permanent residents and baches surrounded by farm land. We live onsite.

Young Street Private Gem - So Close to Town

This self-contained unit is located less than a 10 min walk from New Plymouth town and costal walkway. It boasts a warm cosy space with all the amenities you need. It has a separate entrance from the main home allowing for more privacy with its own bathroom and kitchenette (with microwave, two elements, fridge, kettle and toaster). There is plenty of free street parking as well as a single car parking space next to the airbnb (for small cars only).

The Gingerbread House

Your space is located inside my Gingerbread House which is also home to "The Chocolate Lady". Sleep inside the Sweetest Bedroom Ever imagined or step into an Enchanted Forest Bedroom... The entrance is also the dining/lounge/library. The kitchenette has a jug, toaster, microwave, multicooker and electric frying pan. The bathroom and toilet are separate. The entrance is currently unfinished and this is reflected in the charge out rate!

The Black Yurt

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.

Koru Cottage

Our renovated 80 year old farm cottage is located in the beautiful Taranaki countryside with lovely views of the mountain and the sea and close to New Plymouth and Oakura surf beach with great restaurants, pubs and cafes within a 10km radius. We are located 2 kms from the coast with excellent beach walking, swimming and surfing and close to the world renowned Pukeiti Rhododendron Gardens.
