Cheesesteak tour with the man who's eaten a thousand

What do you do when you visit Philadelphia? You eat cheesesteaks, of course. I’ve reviewed more than 1,200 cheesesteaks for my YouTube channel, and I’d like to take you to a few iconic shops in Philly’s Italian Market neighborhood. • We’ll begin with a cheesesteak at Pat’s King of Steaks, where I’ll share a little bit about my project and the history of this sandwich in Philadelphia. (Cheesesteaks are included in the cost; drinks and sides are extra.) • Next, we’ll walk across the street to Geno’s Steaks, where we’ll do a taste test, comparing the two rivals’ versions we’ve just tried. • Then we’ll take a short walk to Jaxx Taproom, a newer spot that takes a more artisanal approach to the cheesesteak. We’ll sit down for this third course, and compare the classics to the contemporary version. I’ll send you on your way with suggestions for other top cheesesteak shops you should visit while you’re in town.

Artisan Sourdough Bread Workshop

After arrival and introductions, we'll start the process by showing you how to properly slash your dough and get it into the oven. this will allow our first loaves to bake and cool in time for sampling, because who wants to attend a sourdough class and not get to eat any of it? :) Next, we'll begin the process of mixing ingredients, going over the recipe and process. during the periods when the dough will be resting ill conduct a demonstration for a fun live cultured beverage, you can make at home or simply enjoy it during the baking class. Since there is so much time involved in producing a loaf, I'll be moving along with the steps as quickly as we can and spending most of the time between processes answering questions and explaining the why behind the techniques. classes typically last between 3-4 hours so light refreshments will be served throughout the class. You will leave class with, starter, instruction printout, a loaf of bread to bake the next and a bread proofing basket. Other things to note Let me know if you have any food allergies.

Philadelphia History, Highlights, & Revolution Walking Tour

On this tour, we’ll explore Independence National Historical Park and the Old City neighborhood to see a plethora of historical landmarks! Along the way, your guide will keep you posted on the history of these sites and fill you in on all kinds of useful info for your visit to Philly. We’ll see Carpenters Hall, where the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was founded. Next, we’ll head to the Museum of American Revolution, which offers an incredible look at the stories, artifacts, and people that shaped the American Revolution. We’ll go inside to see a presentation of George Washington’s War Tent ( when your tour is over, you’ll be able to get a discounted ticket to see the rest of the museum). As we walk through Old City, we’ll also pass by some favorite sites such as Elfreth’s Alley (the oldest continuously-occupied residential street in the entire US), showcasing incredible architecture dating back to the early 1700s, the Betsy Ross House, named after a famous seamstress and flag maker who is said to have sewn the first ever American flag, Benjamin Franklin’s Grave (bring a penny to toss!), and the outdoor President’s House Landmark where Washington and Adams lived.

Bike the Burgh Tour

First we will bike through the streets of the Financial and Cultural district, explore the Strip District and then check out the North Shore on its scenic river trails. We will dive into the history of Pittsburgh, tracking down the people who shaped this city to what it is today: a beauty. Old and new buildings, city squares and public art will turn this bike ride into a unique event full of exciting (re)discoveries of The Burgh. Other things to note: TOURS START ON TIME. Grape Harvest & Stomp Wine Barge Tour

This is a hands-on experience where guests will have the opportunity to learn the basics of winemaking from an experienced hobby winemaker beginning with the grapes in the vineyard and ending on the unique FLX Wine Barge. Guests will be greeted by Kathy at Fulkerson Winery where she will lead them to an appropriate vineyard tract, explain about the variety of grapes to be harvested, provide gloves, grape harvesting forks and buckets and set each guest up to pick about 10 pounds of wine grapes each. Once harvesting is complete, the group will return to the winery and, while Kathy settles up for the grapes, guests will be free to do a wine tasting of Fulkerson’s wines with special attention to any wines that were made with the variety of grape just harvested. Next, in their own vehicles, participants will follow Kathy to her place on nearby Lamoka Lake, where they will board the docked FLX Wine Barge to enjoy a boxed lunch. During this time, Kathy will provide an Introduction to Winemaking: From Grape to Glass. Participants will learn how to measure sugar content in grapes using a refractometer and understand how the sugar is converted to alcohol by yeast to make wine. Next, guests will manually destem their grapes and then crush them in the traditional way. Once the grapes have been converted to “must,” we will share a celebratory toast in a Wine Barge souvenir glass. Other things to note This will be a hands-on activity, mostly outdoors. While not strenuous, there will be some walking and bending. Participants will be standing while they destem grapes but will be seated on the Wine Barge.

This is a great tour to make friends! Meet other beer lovers on this brewery tour while sampling a variety of locally crafted brews at 4 different stops. Stroll through one of the most vibrant neighborhoods of Pittsburgh and learn all about the history of beer making in Pittsburgh and Western PA. Get to know the makers behind these craft beers and dive deep into the past and present of Lawrenceville - all that while walking past some of its main landmarks and cultural highlights. Soap & Candle Making Class

In about 1.5 hours I will be teaching you how to make 3 different FUN luxury products, that you get to take home with you. We will start with 100% domestic soy candle with a cotton wick with your choice of fragrance. We will then make a soap that you can roll into a scroll, you choose your herbs and essential oils. Finally we will be making a Face Spritzer that contain organic aloe vera. We will chat about the benefits of essential oils and which would be the best for you. Bottle water will be available. There are a minimum of two people and maximum 4 people per class, children 10 years and over are welcomed. If you have any questions or like to request a private class of minimum of 4 people (I will try my best to accommodate - my schedule is not very flexible) please contact me and I will get back to you promptly. The classes will be held in my 1900 farmhouse, PLEASE NOTE we have two potbelly pigs as pets that live and roam in our home. They are friendly and you will be able to pet them. Neon Dream a Psychedelic BodyPaint Experience

We begin with a 10 minute guided meditation to place you in a peaceful state of being & to bring forth your soul field.
