The Potting Barn

Welcome to the Potting Barn. Our secret cabin nestled in our exclusive private Glamping area. With on-site VIP parking, cooking facilities, plus your own private ensuite bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. This is a unique stay at Macdonald’s Farm. Outside you have your own garden with outdoor furniture and a fire pit for those all important BBQ’s under a starry sky. Come and enjoy the beauty of the farm. Just bring your clothes and towels – we provide the rest! We allow well behaved dogs.

Located just 2.5 miles (an 8 minute drive) from the beaches of Padstow, this beautiful family home from home is ideally situated just inland in a sought-after rural setting. Within easy reach of its closest beaches, Porthcothan and Mawgan Porth in one direction and Watergate Bay and Newquay, in the other. The property a large garden and off-road parking for 3 cars.

The Bolt Hole

Your very own Bolt Hole, a little piece of Cornish paradise. Our unique cabin is surrounded by farmland with the stunning Seven Bays at your finger tips and close to both St Merryn and Padstow. The perfect escape for two. With a cosy kingsize bed that's raised so you can enjoy the far reaching views, your very own stylish bathroom and a hand crafted simple kitchen. The outside area is a real suntrap, perfect for those morning coffees and evening BBQ's. An ideal base to explore from.

Coastal, Countryside annex

Enjoy a relaxing break in a small Cornish hamlet, with lovely countryside views with wildlife going about their day. Also enjoy an amazing stary sky by night while enjoying your favourite beverage. Cedar Lodge has just been completed and is brand new ready for 2023. It is a stunning 1 bedroom annex situated in the lower half of our garden. Although it is in close proximity to our family home there is a dividing fence and all access to the annex is separate with shared parking.

Tides Reach, Porthcothan Bay by the beach

Nestled among the idyllic North Cornwall coastline a few miles from Padstow and just a stones throw from Porthcothan beach the valley and southwest coast path lies Porthcothan Retreats, a small exclusive glamping retreat tucked away only 100m from the beautiful sandy bay. We have 4 unique cabins in total each sleeping 2. Tides Reach is a contemporary shepherds hut (sleeping 2) with all the facilities you'll need for a wonderful stay. Available for short stays all year round.

Tressa. Beautiful shepherds hut. Village location.

Tressa is a brand new shepherds hut located in the heart of st Merryn and a short drive from the beautiful seven bays. Consisting of a cosy one double bedroom with a small kitchen area and shower room. Sited in our garden the main access is shared with our other properties Demelza and Lowenna but we have made a lovely cosy area exclusively for Tressa. There is an outdoor patio and small sheltered eating area. Plus a small garden with reclining chairs, a lovely sun trap!

Sunset shepherd’s hut by the sea

Enjoy amazing sunsets over the ocean from the comfort of your cozy double bed and huge windows. Stroll 10 minutes through paddocks to your choice of a number of great beaches and swimming spots. Porthcothan beach is a gentle wander around the coastal path and Trescore, Porthmear, Golden Burn and Pentire and are right on your doorstep. This cute space, hand built by the host, is situated in a quiet field with 2 other accomodation spaces but plenty of privacy and peace.
