Cosy house with a breathtaking view

Hydra is a very popular island because of its picturesque capital, full of red-tiled houses and stone-paved narrow alleys. Hydra is one of the few areas in Greece for which there is preservation order. Access to the island of Hydra is easy It can be reached from the port of Piraeus by hydrofoil in just one and a half hour. The particularity of Hydra Greece is that all vehicles are prohibited, a fact which increases its charm. The house is in the middle of the amphitheatrical city of Hydra and it’s a 10-15 minute walk from the port. 2 floor house in the centre of Hydra Island with a breathtaking view which can be enjoyed from all the rooms of the house. On the ground floor the veranda has 2 levels. The 1st level outside the kitchen, is covered with ceramic tiles that provide cool and shade throughout the day, which makes it a pleasure to have all meals outside enjoying the beautiful view. On the 2nd level of the veranda you can sunbathe during the day or lie on comfortable chaise longues at night and have a cocktail under the stars. Entering the house there is a fully equipped kitchen, big oven with ceramic hobs, dishwasher and a 2nd mini fridge. One room which accommodates 2 people in 2 single beds with a WC- shower and a washing machine that you can use. This room can also be used as a dining room as there is a table for 6 people and it is quite spacious with 2 windows and a perfect view. On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms which sleep 4 people and a bathroom with a shower. Each bedroom has got 2 single beds (they have small wheels) which can be used either separately, or as double beds by joining them and putting an extra thin double mattress on top. There is an air-conditioning unit in each of the two bedrooms upstairs and 3 portable fans. Passing through the 1st room there is another veranda that gives a wider view of the island.

Explore the village, take long walks by the sea, dine in the traditional Greek taverns, take the scenic traditional boats to explore the island. Poros Island is serviced by both sea and road routes from Athens.By sea (from the port of Piraeus you can reach the island in little over an hour using the fast flying dolphin & catamaran services, alternatively driving from Athens to the coastal town of Galatas (where car ferries service the island every 30 minutes) can be achieved in 2 1/2 hours.

Our place is a traditional stone house at Kamini district. It's a 15 minute walk from the port and 7 minutes from one of the best beaches of Hydra. Kamini is a quiet neighborhood with a small marina and restaurants serving delicious greek dishes. Our house has a balcony with exceptional sea view, a cozy side patio and a garden with lemon trees. Grandmas Guest House

Grandmas Guest house belonged to our lovely grandmother Rose and our grandfather Panagiotis. We renovated the house in 2018 accordingly to traditional Hydriot style but is still comfortable and with all the modern amenities so the guests can feel like home. It is an independent cozy house,72 m2,on ground floor, is situated on the central road of the island, on Andrea Miaoulis str., and is about 8-12 minutes from the port on foot, without steps.

Traditional Poros residence "Nina's House"

Cute little house in the traditional town of Poros island, located near to the port and close to all the required services (market, food, entertainment). Nina's house was our grandmother's home.It was built in the 19th century. Beautiful, boutique studio in a historical house (built in late 1800s) on the hillside of the old town of Poros. House named after my grandmother Antonia-Dona Kastrioti. The “Capta Giorgis” house in the Center of Hydra.

The Capetan Giorgio’s house is traditional Hydraian house in the center of the town from 1880. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood only 180m from the port without any stairs. Perfect for families. The house consists of two bedrooms one living room , kitchen and bathroom. Also has a big privet yard in two levels (40sm the one and 35sm the other). We looking forward to welcoming you!
