Welcome to The Fantail! A cute & cosy cottage in the heart of Ohakune. Central location with town, ski fields, hiking/cycling tracks all at your fingertips. Whip up a tasty breakfast in a well-equipped kitchen & enjoy refreshing ambience in an open-plan living space & spacious deck for a cuppa or evening tipple. Shred the slopes, then immerse & indulge in the spa pool under the stars. Accommodates 4 but configures perfectly for a small family or couples retreat & bring the furry friends too!

Shannon Cottage (summer)

Comfortable cosy cottage beside Mt Ruapehu. Ideal for bikers, Tongariro Crossing hikers or photographers exploring the local scenery. Independent so you can come and go at will. Full kitchen (though basic with retro fridge and no dishwasher), TV, DVDs and Chromecast, unlimited wifi, laundry, heating & aircon. One double room and one room with 2 singles (that can push together), plus a couch bed in the living room and a travel cot. From mid-May to Oct book 'Shannon Cottage (winter)' instead.

Perfect jump off point to explore both Tongariro National Park and Wanganui National Park, or just winding down after skiing/snowboarding at Turoa, doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, or any of the short walks nearby, or biking the Old Coach Road.

The Treehouse, Raetihi, in the Ruapehu region

The Treehouse is set in grounds of our Villa in Raetihi in the Ruapehu region, it sits on stilts amongst the trees, with a walk way for ease of access. A warm well insulated room with comfortable king size bed, around the deck to the shower, toilet and out door bath. Enjoy a wonderful relax in the bath with bubbles and a choice of fairy lights or the vastness of a starlit sky. All linen provided. Gas hot water. All water is town supply. Located on State Highway 1... 2 hours south of Taupo, 2 hours north of Wellington & 1 hour to Ohakune. Enjoy a wine on the deck looking out at the operating sheep and beef farm. Our restored shearers quarters are modern, warm, bright and comfortable. Double glazed, fireplace, insulated, infinity gas and beautifully decorated. We have free Wifi. ChromeCast on the TV.
