Misty Mountain Hut - Ruapehu

Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Self contained one-bedroom unit near beautiful Kai Iwi Beach. Located on a lifestyle block in a peaceful setting with views to the ocean. The unit has its own entrance but is attached to our garage. There is a lovely front porch ideal for enjoying beautiful sunsets. Queen size bed in separate bedroom with a sofa bed available in lounge if required. The Treehouse is set in grounds of our Villa in Raetihi in the Ruapehu region, it sits on stilts amongst the trees, with a walk way for ease of access. A warm well insulated room with comfortable king size bed, around the deck to the shower, toilet and out door bath. Enjoy a wonderful relax in the bath with bubbles and a choice of fairy lights or the vastness of a starlit sky. All linen provided. Gas hot water. All water is town supply. Our place is close to the great Tongariro National Park. It includes Mt Ruapehu for skiing or snow boarding and tramping. Walk the world famous Tongariro Crossing and discover the cycle ways, kayak the Whanganui River and explore the 'Bridge to No Where'. Try trout fishing, a game of golf or visit the Waiouru Army Museum. Enjoy our cosy home with a wood fire whilst taking in the amazing mountain and rural views. Our place is good for couples and families (with kids) or small groups.

Kosbys Cottage, Tongariro

Kosbys Cottage, Tongariro provides excellent value for money, offering ample space for families (children over 2 years old) or small groups of friends. A snug retreat during winter, thanks to a very efficient wood-burner (there is no heat pump). The spacious couch is perfect for unwinding, while the well-equipped kitchen, resembling that of a caterer’s, includes an espresso machine and opens out onto a charming patio area with a barbecue, herb garden, and stunning vistas.

Tuparipari Riverbank Retreat

Tuparipari Riverbank Retreat is perched on the banks of the Whanganui River amongst native trees and in a loved bird garden adorned with garden art. This retro studio apartment is complete with an en suite, kitchenette & private entrance. Your alternative entrance is via spiral stairway leads up to your laundry and a second toilet. This is a great retreat for couples, solo adventurers, or business travellers. The wifi is very fast (Gigabyte speed) and is unlimited.

Cosy in the Centre of Ohakune

This one bedroom apartment is on the ground floor of our family home (we live on the 2nd and 3rd floors). It is in the middle of Ohakune, halfway between Turoa Junction and Ohakune centre. They're a walks close by, Turoa is 20 minutes drive away and we have a list of walks that are nearby and suit a range of people. Parking is right in front of the apartment as per the photos in the listing. Our house manual also has a list of the best spots in Ohakune to check out.
