Our narrow-gauge Chile Line Boxcar hauled Cowboys and Indians, sheep and cattle in the Rio Grande Gorge long ago. Now remodeled, it is loaded with charm, from hand-crafted touches to antique furnishings. Guests frequently exclaim, “Wow!” when entering. They call it “very comfortable and cozy” from slipper tub to bed, with grand views across sweeping pastureland and the Taos mountains. We offer a quiet location just 3 miles from Taos Plaza, 6 miles from the Pueblo, 22 miles from the Ski Valley.

Many guests have been "working from home with a different view"! One family dog (under 25#) is OK – and you must inquire in advance. Poppy comes w/ a mini-fridge, a microwave, & coffee maker & a comfy queen . Because its 350 sq ft., we can host 2. Plus 1 small dog - for a fee.

This Earthship is great for experiencing a home that is quiet, serene, romantic, private, (one acre lot) surrounded by acres of sagebrush and chamisa. and is only 15 minutes from town. The inside is dark adobe with gold straw, with flagstone floors, and rustic Sycamore Oak beams. 3 kivas fireplaces too!
