When designing the experience, I wanted to introduce you to Icelandic nature's most symbolic wonders. There will also be time for relaxing soaking in the oldest thermal pool in Iceland. We will visit the Gullfoss waterfall and stay for lunch at the Geothermal farm. Dining among tomato plants is a unique food experience you will never forget. Silfra Tectonic Snorkeling w/Photos
I take being a host on Airbnb very seriously and I’m all about offering the HIGHEST quality. When you choose my experience over others, you will have this super small and personal experience with a true local. I don’t have a HUGE operation with dozens of guides, where you never know who you are going with. This is why I have much smaller groups. Please note that due to how expensive it is to run the tour I can not take only one person on the tour. Please contact me if you are booking for just one person and I will see what I can do to make it happen. We will meet at Þingvellir national park, where the two tectonic plates, the north american and eurasian, are drifting apart from each other. Silfra is a fissure in between the two plates and has the clearest water on the planet. This makes Silfra one of the top dive sites in the world. I will help you get suited up in the drysuit and explain how to use the snorkeling equipment. Followed by a small briefing about Silfra fissure and how everything regarding the snorkel works. The activity in the water is about 25-30 minutes. After we get out of the water we walk back to the car and enjoy a warm drink and some snacks. Other things to note You must send all participants Height (cm), Weight (kg) and Shoe size (EU). This is very important so I can pick the right size of drysuit for you. Please meet me 10 minutes before the start time. If you arrive 15 min after the start time of the tour, you can not participate.

We believe that the best way to get to know your destination is through local foods, so I am very keen to introduce you to some of Iceland's most delicious dishes. At the end of the tour we'll sit down in a funky little bar for a beer tasting and chat. Other things to note Let me know if you have any dietary restrictions and I'll do my best to accommodate to that. This tour is a unique blend of history, traditional food, and craft beer tasting. Hidden gem park-run and pool visit with a local
We start the run at a comfortable pace from my local geothermal swimming poo, Laugardalslaug. We will start off by visiting historical hot washing pools. We run through the local botanical garden and historical park before we head off to explore a hidden gem, Ellidaardalur, a green area in the center of Reykjavik where you can enjoy the nature, witness a calming river, waterfalls, some unexpected wildlife and historical landmarks from Reykjavik's history. We cross a old water power damn and then head back to the start. We will take short info-stops on the way based on your form and interest. The estimated distance is about 12km (7.5miles) but can be shortened or lengthened based on your daily form. We end the experience by visiting the swimming pool, Laugardalslaug where I guide you thru local customs, introduce you to the Icelandic "hot-tub club" phenomenon and encourage you try out the cold bath treatment which helps with running recovery and soothing of sore muscles. Did you know that we have pools in each neighborhood? And did you know that our pools are heated all year and that the visiting-culture has not much to do with swimming? You really don't know Icelanders until you get to know us in the pool! Other things to note Be ready in your running gear. I can store your change of cloths and swimwear during the run.
Hot and cold
I will pick you up from your accommodation in Reykjavik area form where we will take half an hour driver to reach þrihnúkahraun lava field where our adventure begins. We will head straight to Icelandic underworld to Explorer some of the most amazing nature's creations- lava tubes. Depending on your fit level, we’ll see anywhere between 2 and 4 lava tubes, which should take 2 to 4 hours. All depends on how well you'll move through tunnels and how fit you are, some of them might involve some crawling therefore we will start with the easiest ones and progress with difficulty level. In this diverse and colorful scenery, we will learn how lava tubes are created and how volcanoes shape Icelandic landscape. After some time spent underground in a humid and cool environment, it would be nice to change the scenery, and this is exactly what we will do. We will travel to beautiful Reykjadalur valley, where we will enjoy another wonder of Iceland– natural hot springs. We will hike for about 1 hour through a picturesque valley up in the mountains to reach the famous Icelandic hot river. Here we will submerge ourselves in a natural hot geothermal stream and recharge our batteries with energy direct from mother nature. This part takes around 3 hours. The trip was planned to avoid main touristic traffic and take advantage of the best things Iceland has to offer- amazing, wild nature.
