7 Arches holiday accommodation was completely refurbished in July 2019. Benefits from stunning views over the Afan Valley and located on the Afan Forest Park's low level cycle route 'Y Rheilffordd' (railway in welsh) which runs along the base of the valley. This is a great trail for families with picnic and refreshment stops along the 36km trail. 'Y Rheilffordd' gives easy access to 6 world class trails as well as Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre, Glyncorrwg Visitor Centre and Afan Bike Park.

Built in the 1700s beside the river, this cosy little cottage is full of rustic character. Expect a warm welsh welcome both at the cottage and from the friendly village. There is a selection of quaint country pubs within walking distance and several supermarkets just a short drive away. The Old Exchange has everything you require for a comfortable, relaxing stay in a sleepy village setting.

1 Cathelyd Colliery Stables

No 1 Cathelyd Colliery Stables is a dog friendly property renovated from a pit pony stables. Next door, No 2 is slightly larger and can be booked separately on Airbnb. There are walks on the doorstep being next to the Cwm Clydach bird reserve and the cottage has its own private valley walk with a waterfall. We are situated 3 miles from J45 of the M4 with easy access to Swansea, Gower and the Brecon Beacons. The Swansea Cycle path is on the doorstep. The town is a mile away.
