Given its peaceful situation, it is surprisingly only a 5 minute drive from major transport routes (north/ south/ east/ west) and Penrith Station. Only 5 miles to Ullswater and the lakes. Barn conversion includes bedroom with private terrace, bathroom (shower and bath), large sitting/ breakfast room. Well behaved dogs welcome on request (2 maximum - extra charge of £10 dog/night). 2 miles from Kirby Stephen, annexe to the main house with own entrance and use of garden in front of the property,a small table and sofa. own has front door and a small porch area . We welcome dogs to stay. Bathroom with step into the large shower and non slip mat available , a living and kitchen area with a comfy sofa, table and chairs and a cooker and hob ( no cooker extractor) microwave and fridge. A door leads off the living and kitchen area to a bedroom with double bed and wardrobe.

'The Retreat' is a beautifully finished studio, very light, bright & airy with private terrace overlooking mature woods and a stream, great for relaxing and 'retreating'. Quiet countryside location yet only 4 miles into Carlisle City centre. Ample private parking. Peaceful garden has an outdoor wood burner for eating al-fresco or just star gazing. The Northern Lake District and Hadrian's Wall are both less than a 30 minute drive away, and Carlisle City Centre is just a few minutes drive.

Beautifully presented and furnished to a high standard. Main bedroom has a standard sized double bed and the second bedroom has a single and a trundle bed (trundle NOT suitable for an adult, only for child/young teenager) The living room and open plan kitchen are fully equipped including fridge, freezer and a washer/dryer.

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. In the mornings you can look forward to a delicious breakfast in the formal dining room. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use.

Midtown Loft is an ideal getaway location for enjoying the beautiful Eden Valley, exploring the Lake District and discovering the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The accommodation is situated on the edge of the Pennine's, two miles from the Pennine Way at Dufton and close to the National Cycle Route 68. It is also on the route of the Lady Anne’s way.
