One pleasant and popular pub in walking distance. Many others nearby. Outdoor pursuits such as canoeing/ cycling/ mountain biking/ river walks all available nearby or relax on the patio with a bbq , or if a winter break curl up inside with our cosy woodburner.

The kitchen is very well equipped. There is a patio area to the front of the barn and a fire pit/ BBQ area in the garden. On site parking. The Garden House is a peaceful stone cottage set in the historic gardens of High Glanau Manor, the home of H. Avray Tipping (1855-1933) the Architectural Editor of Country Life Magazine from 1907. High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. The gardens retain many original features including formal terraces, octagonal pool, glasshouse, pergola and 100 ft long double herbaceous borders. There are spectacular views to the Brecon Beacons

It was lovingly restored in 2021 retaining many original features including a log burner, stripped wooden floors and original oak beams. It is located in the small hamlet of Hom Green, 2 miles from Ross-On-Wye which is in the heart of the picturesque Wye Valley. The 136 mile Wye Valley walk passes within a mile of the property which is ideal for you and your dog to explore the hills, limestone gorges and viewpoints.

The Old Bakehouse

Wythall is a half-timbered Manor House in a secluded and idyllic setting with garden, fresh water lake, wooded grounds and vineyards. You will enjoy peace and quiet here and see an abundance of wildlife. Wine tasting and vineyard tours are available via appointment. The Old Bakehouse is completely self contained and situated in the west wing of the manor house. It is well equipped and furnished, with access to ample parking space and central heating throughout. Pets are welcome.

On the edge of The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, this cosy getaway is a professionally converted and exquisitely decorated annex to our main property. This conversion was completed in 2022. PLEASE NOTE... You are welcome to use the woodburner during the summer months (May - Sept inclusive) but I do not supply firewood during this period. Please bring your own supplies of firelighters, kindling and logs if you would like an inside fire during the summer.
