About an hour and a half drive- Gorgeous piece of Alaska that is accessible by walking a out a half mile from the parking lot. Parking does cost. Please be careful when exploring. Glaciers move and calf.

Interested in the history of this dog race? The headquarters and museum are right here in Wasilla! Dogs and sometimes puppies on site, kids will love this stop. The whole thing will only take about and hour or two to check out and it’s educational.

2100 S Knik-Goose Bay RdInterested in the history of this dog race? The headquarters and museum are right here in Wasilla! Dogs and sometimes puppies on site, kids will love this stop. The whole thing will only take about and hour or two to check out and it’s educational.
Neat history! This old gold mine site is set up as a walking museum from building to building! You can still enter the shaft of the mine about 10 feet, it’s closed off for private use and is still mined today! The temperature change from outside to the few feet in the mine shaft is amazing. Definitely worth the venture if you like history at all!
