Same owner as the famous Continental Club just down the street, but this place has a more intimate atmosphere, and is slightly off the beaten SO-CO path. It's dark, kind of loud, kind of weird, in the good way. Me likey.

Oh Antone's! I love this place. Service is not always top notch, but the venue is wonderful for live music. One night it might be a jazz band, the next it's an homage to Led Zeppelin! I'm never disappointed with Antone's.

Great place to catch live music without having to venture all the way downtown! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe one-2-one has live music every night. What it lacks in authentic Austin charm, it definitely makes up for in having wicked local bands performing there, and a wide variety of music genres!

This place is the best spot you can be at on a Monday night! Motown Monday is where it's at! 8-11pm, free entrance! It's features a wicked couple of bands that will make you shake it uncontrollably, I swear. Go and dance your butt off!

The IMT is a really cool wine bar with an interesting decor and a selection of American wine to discover. It's a great place for happy hour, or a simple date night. Note that it's wise to check closing hours first, as they close fairly early.

Rainey street is a completely normal street during the day, that turns into a pedestrian road filled with houses-turned-bars at night! Tons of cocktail bars, food trucks, and live music everywhere! (*It's tricky to find parking, just use Lyft or Uber to get there and back!)
Radio is both a coffee shop and a bar. Grab a stiff espresso there during the day while working away on your laptop, or a clod local beer at night while checking out open mic performers, or sitting outside with a group of friends. Service can be very average at times, but what it lacks in customer service it makes up by being one of the only cool joints around. They have a few food truck on site, including Veracruz which is one of the best vegetarian taco food truck in town.

Essentials
Despite the name, Sprouts is actually a grocery store. If Whole Foods and HEB made sweet love and had a baby, it would be Sprouts. Sprouts is my go to for fresh ingredients, especially fruits and vegetables, and anything related to healthy living. They also have a bulk section, and a decent wine selection. Their prices are way better than Whole Foods, in fact, I haven't stepped foot in WF since moving to Austin (ironically)!

Arbor Trails is conveniently located and features several services, banks, and restaurants. There is a Costco, a Whole Foods, a Office Depot, and many other businesses such as nail salon, dry cleaner, etc. A good place to "get it all done"!

YUM! Papalote is my secret taco joint. Although I do enjoy a good ol' Torchy's taco once in a while, I find Papalote more interesting, and definitely more authentic. It's a small, friendly, hole in the wall type of place, and I love it!

Customer service is hit or miss, but it's worth it for a delicious and fresh bowl of pho. My recommendation: the oxtail pho bowl!

If you are an outdoors enthusiast, this is a great spot to hit! Rent out a paddle board or canoe, and enjoy the stunning views of downtown Austin and the surrounding hills from the Colorado River.

Barton Springs is probably one of the most visited spots in Austin, especially during those hot summer days. It is filled entirely with water from nearby natural springs!! Its water is between 68-73 degrees, year round. Great place to hangout with friends!
