The cobblestoned street is closed to vehicular traffic and access is obtained by a coded entry gate, the caretaker's house is located at the entry. At dusk, the avenue is illuminated by street lamps which evoke the atmosphere of late 19C .

Véritable atelier d'artiste, habité par le peintre Georges Braque en 1911, dans une petite rue qui part de Pigalle. L'atelier , situé au 2ème étage est aujourd'hui entièrement rénové, confortable, très bien équipé, haut de 4 m sous plafond, lumineux, les baies vitrées s'ouvrent sur la cour, pavée et arborée de magnolias et de rosiers. Le temps est suspendu, le calme, la douceur de la lumière, les célèbres ateliers de la butte Montmartre, au coeur de Pigalle.
