Minutes from Lake James, and a short drive to the eateries/ entertainment of Morganton or Marion. Access all the amazing activities that WNC has to offer including hiking, biking, boating, tubing, swimming, kayaking, fishing, with beautiful weather & scenery year round from this convenient location or sit on the front porch & enjoy the beauty.

The Cottage at Pine Ridge *Hot Tub & Fire Pit*

Relax with the family at this completely updated cottage built in the 1940s. Featuring two bedrooms with plenty of comfy relaxing area. Enjoy the backyard with a hot tub (inflatable), and night lighting. Grill on the charcoal or relax at the fire pit. Just in earshot of the apple orchard where you can satisfy your taste buds with a crisp fresh apple, apple cider slushy, or fried apple pie. Although rural this home is only 4 miles from interstate 40! Approx an hour from Asheville and Charlotte.

Mountain modern Carriage House downtown Morganton

The Carriage House and city of Morganton have power and are ready visitors. This guest house sits behind a historic home in downtown Morganton. The 1920s structure has restored original finishes : a claw foot tub, vintage bathroom sink, and farm house sink in the kitchen. Downstairs features original wood bead board ceilings. Upstairs the ceiling was removed to expose the roof and beams. Two fireplaces keep it cozy - you'll have a lovely place relax and listen to the rain on the metal roof.

Riverside Cabin on 33 acres

Enjoy your peaceful mountain escape on our 33 acres. We have over a half mile of hatchery supported trout streams to fish (with a stocking point on the property), swimming holes, and private trails located directly on the property. Or with just a 2 minute drive up the road you can be in the South Mountains state park to take some local hikes to some awesome places like the watershed lake. Come escape to this cozy 3/2 cabin, close to Morganton, Lake James, several breweries and wineries, Hidden Hills wedding venue and all the hiking and other outdoor activities in the state park the property backs up against. The house boasts every modern comfort you would need to work or play if you don’t want to unplug, but this house was meant to be enjoyed outdoors. The hot tub, wrap around porch, and fire-pit offer the perfect setting to enjoy the tranquility this house provides.

The eclectic decor is sure to appeal to anyone’s taste. The bathrooms are both spacious with bathtubs. Watch people visit at Fonta Flora Brewery on the front porch or play a game of cornhole and hang by the fire in the shaded backyard. With indoor storage for all the gear this is a place for adventures to begin!
