We love sharing our home in the beautiful hills of San Anselmo, just 1/2- 2/3 mile up a narrow winding road, easy to navigate with our simple directions! A fairly secluded feel, surrounded by trees w/views of distant hills & easy access to both wonderful towns of Fairfax & San Anselmo. (3-5 min drive/25-30 min walk to either). Beautiful hikes directly from the doorstep to surrounding hills or a 5 minute walk to the funky town of Fairfax with great restaurants, bars and shopping. Spa style bathroom with rain shower and double heads , central heat and air, hardwood floors, vaulted beamed ceilings, hot tub, breakfast kitchenette and private rooftop patio.

Our place is great for folks who love the outdoors, music, small town charm. We are around the corner from a famous mountain bike trail. A 10-20 minute walk takes you from one end of our town to the other. Including the best ever organic ice cream shop, a deluxe health food store, live music, brew pubs. Fairfax is a destination town with fun boutiques, drop-in yoga, eclectic restaurants including an exotic tea salon, and hundreds of cyclists touring through. Maximum stay: 6 nights.

The outdoor patio area is just for guests and is a great spot to sit in the evenings. Although we recommend a car - we are close to bus and ferry routes to San Francisco. Perfectly situated for hiking, mountain biking or trips to Napa Valley. Strictly no pets because of host’s allergies. There are stairs from street to the entrance.

Fairfax Getaway in the Redwoods

This lovely little private studio is located on the lower level of our 3-story home in a magical redwood grove in Fairfax, California. The unit has a cozy Murphy bed, kitchenette, dishwasher, and bathroom with a large shower. Enjoy a private outdoor deck and patio surrounded by redwoods. There are two sweet cats on the premises. They don’t hang out in the unit but they love to visit guests and may occasionally enter the unit.

Nestled in a canyon above San Anselmo, we're a twenty minute walk to downtown San Anselmo to the east and downtown Fairfax to the west. Miles of world-class hiking and biking trails right outside the door.

Our place is a 5 minute walk to downtown Fairfax, very close to numerous hiking & biking trails, restaurants & shops - & The Good Earth! You’ll love the coziness, the views, the location, and the quiet neighborhood. The living room faces East and we enjoy lovely sun rises.
