Limon Waterfall like a local
Do you want to help us to improve the lives of the Families of El Limón? The profit is for the families and to improve children's education. This is a social project with the NGO Projects for Children. El Salto del Limon is a waterfall in the middle of a valley in the province of Samaná (Dominican Republic). The Walk lasts around 2h (1h one way + 30min return + 30min relax). you will walk along a hike beginner level path, explaining the local tree species (pineapple, coconut, cocoa, almonds) and seeing and tasting its fruits. You can swim in the two waterfalls and take pictures. On the way back, you will be able to eat typical food (rice with chicken, beans and salad) with a family from the community and learn how these powerful women live from their natural environment. We meet in Zona Colonial and visit a few of the iconic dance bars & clubs. Enjoy a friendly night full of dancing and fun. With an introduction to other dancers for you to practise with. I teach salsa beginner-intermediate. Bachata. For more advanced learning I bring an additional instructor. Please let me know if you would like a salsa experience or bachata experience or a mix of both Complete beginners are welcome Example: Partner and solo. ⁠1. Discover with me the nature of the beautiful micro rainforest, the history of the aboriginal people that once used the caves, take a ride in the man pulled raft to discover the hidden 4th lake. Artisanal Chef Table Experience
This chef table experience will allow you to taste, feel and learn about Dominican gastronomy. Prepare to be taken on a culinary journey! When you arrive at our home, you will enjoy a welcome cocktail created with fresh local ingredients, while learning about cacao and its process from seed to cocao bar, in its traditional way. After the product presentation, we will prepare a 7 course tasting menu for you which you will enjoy on the terrace of our Atilier. Chef Luis creates each dish around the Dominican culture. Each ingredient is fresh and straight from our local sources or prepared in house as part of our artesenal ingredient production giving this meal a healthy and homemade farm to table feel. Please Note: Drinks are NOT included. ONLY 1 welcome cocktail included in the price. This is a TASTING MENU, which means it is served as small portions to taste and explore different creations. It is NOT a la carte, so we cannot make changes to the menu. Unless for reasons of allergies or intolerances. Just an FYI: We are a VERY pet friendly property. We have 5 dogs and 2 cats. Going deep into the authentic Dominican hood
Get to know the inside of an authentic Dominican neighborhood along with its music, it’s food and most importantly it’s people. This will include a guided tour telling the history of the places we will visit in English or Spanish, one ride in our cable car and metro system, access to a typical Dominican house, access to our natural pools and time for bath, boat ride which will take us to see the castle where Christopher Columbus’s son lived and three of his generation. We will also go underneath four of the most important bridges in Santo Domingo (note: the boat ride it’s at an additional price) and one typical Dominican meal. Videos and pictures are included.
Hiking Tabernacle thundering waterfall

Difficulty level: -Medium; when you're fit/water level is low (dry/cold season) -High; when you're not fit/water level is high (wet/hot season) It is completely doable in all scenarios. You must not have any injuries, don't need to be an athlete either! (If you want a more challenging experience, book 'Hiking DR's most impressive waterfall') LGBTQ+ friendly experience/vegetarian acommodating. Pickup included in Santo Domingo. We depart at 6am (pick up might start up to 30 minutes before). It's a 2-hour road trip with beautiful sights of the mountains to get to the town where we are having a typical dominican breakfast. After breakfast, we begin our journey. It's a 3 to 4-hour route within hiking, swimming, climbing, etc. Swimming is mandatory (no need to know how to swim, you'll have a life vest). Water is cold. You can leave your bags in the car while hiking. After hiking, we change clothes (by the car, there's no restroom). Then we go back to the town to have a dominican lunch. Vida y sabores de mi barrio
Acompáñame a recorrer uno de los barrios populares más icónicos de Santo Domingo donde crearás recuerdos que nunca olvidarás. Es una inmersión en el pueblo, donde caminaremos por las bulliciosas callecitas de una parte de Gualey, una comunidad típica de la margen del río Ozama repleta de vibrante vida. Conjuntamente con nuestro guia de la comunidad, conoce la interesante historia de la fundación del barrio, la vida cotidiana, como trabajan (mercaditos, tiendecitas, proyectos de peces), como se desarrollan en el aspecto social y como se divierten (Incluyendo unos bellísimos cenotes con aguas de manantial). Degusta algunas de las comidas populares más icónicas de la ciudad preparadas por expertos locales. Es una oportunidad también para conocer la realidad de los barrios marginados de República Dominicana escuchando y viendo algunos de sus problemas sociales y el cómo la comunidad se está empoderando para resolverlos de manera creativa, alegre y colaborativa. Verás todo esto, y tan solo caminaremos unos tres kilómetros y medio. Es un recorrido fácil, aunque en algunas pocas ocasiones puede ser demandante solo por una empinada colina que la haremos despacio y aprendiendo del lugar. Cuando regresemos, nos despediremos con una cerveza helada escuchando merengue, bachata y dembow junto a los locales.
Fantastic Adventure to Hidden Waterfall and Historical Cave
Join us to visit this beautiful hidden waterfall in the greenest province of the entire Dominican Republic, Monte Plata. This is a 20-meter-high natural monument located in Bayaguana, where we will enjoy the clean air, the spectacular views, and the great flora that surrounds this wonderful waterfall. We will meet at the meeting point in the morning, to go to the waterfall 50 minutes from Santo Domingo, enjoying the landscapes that the road gives us, while we have breakfast on board. Along the way, we will talk about the history of the island, beautiful places in the DR and get to know each other better. When we arrive at the Cascada, Doña Ramona will wait for us, who will cook our traditional Dominican lunch (al carbon), as they used to cook in the 1900's on our island. Once ready, we will walk for around 15 minutes and we will go into the jungle to reach the beautiful hidden waterfall. It is a steep path but not difficult to cross, (I recommend comfortable shoes to avoid falling) We will explore the waterfall, take photos in it, enjoy the water and the beauty of nature for about two and a half hours and then return to the starting point to enjoy our lunch, chat, rest, and then start out trip back to Santo Domingo stoping by un the three eyes cave learning about history and this fantastic place an beautiful nature monument, after that we gonna head to out meeting point.

Dominican Culture Around the Fogón
We will walk throught the "Sendero del Eden" where we will see fruit trees, a beautifull cave named "La Cueva del Eden", here we will go into the Cave and observe the stalactites and stalagmites. Then we will visit our Fogón where we will grind cocoa, make casava like our ancestors and roast coffee. After that... We will take you to cave brujuela so you can swim under ground , a space with 15 meters below, with natural water, while you wait for the food to be prepared in the fogon. At the end we will have a surprise for everyone!!! To enjoy!!! Other things to note We will be outdoors, the caves are rocky so we must have safe closed shoes, sunscreen and repellent, we will use stairs, and we will have access to parking, bathroom and shower.
Bean to bar chocolate workshop
You will be making chocolates right from the cacao bean, also preparying and tasting various cacao or chocolate drinks. You'll leave with your own handmade chocolates, customized the way you like them, to enjoy with your friends and family. Children of all ages welcome!

You’ll start in Santo Domingo’s Colonial Zone, we’ll see the Caribbean side of the old city, as we walk, eventually getting to the old city walls that once protected the city from pirates. We'll visit the Indepence Park an important landmark commemorating the Dominican Republic’s struggle for independence. Along the way, you’ll also have the chance to explore local markets, filled with fruits, vegetables, grains, and spices, as well as the spices used in Dominican cuisine. Learn about how Spanish and Arab immigrants brought their influence to the island. Discover the african - spanish religious syncretism of the Dominican Voodoo. We'll learn about the Dominican handmade crafts used in the countryside lifestyle and walk through Little Haiti and China Town to explore the small, picturesque businesses. If you’re getting hungry, our walk takes us to few of the most traditional local cafeterias and bakeries in the city, where you can try much delicious and locally loved treats

Let's meet at a local colmado (or coffee shop if you prefer) and get to know each other, I have found the best time starts when there is confidence so let's start with that, I will also share important information about Dominican Republic and the lifestyle. Now, let's walk towards La Tarazana! On the way we will stop at the main attractions, the best bars to cool down, and other hidden gems. Main places that we will be visiting: - Santa Regina Church - Maraca Restaurant and bistro - Duarte Park - The Cathedral - Museum of Sugar and Cane rooftop - Fortaleza Ozama - La Tarazana - House of Rum Bar and museum I grew up in this area and is my favorite area of the city to party and hang out with friends/family so I know it well. I have lived in Mexico, France, Turkey, US, and Switzerland so I have a lot of friends from different nationalities who have visited and loved the experience, always thanking me for being their guide and having a great time. Sandboarding & snorkeling at the Dominican desert

Ready to explore the Dominican desert and its sand dunes, salt ponds and coral reefs? We depart at 6:30am (Pickup might start up to 30 minutes before), take a 2-hour road trip to Salinas, with some stops on the way. Our first stop is for an authentic Dominican breakfast at a local place. After that, we visit the sand dunes and spend some time learning about them, taking pictures, and of course, sandboarding. I'm not a certified instructor, we're just having fun. No experience required. After having fun at the dunes, we walk through the salt mines and its pink lakes, where we see the salt process and workers taking salt out of the lakes. Our last attraction is playa El Derrumbao, where we are going to do some snorkeling. To get there, we take a 20 minute walk (one way) under the hot sun. We walk into the beach with urchins and grab the goggles to watch the coral reefs and fish underwater. It's beautiful! Then, we walk back and change clothes by the car. There's no dressing room, Then we go back to the same local place for some authentic Dominican lunch. After lunch, we return to Santo Domingo, happy and tired at around 5pm.
