The house was inspired by Japanese design and won an AIA Atlanta award and is featured in Dwell Magazine. 2 decks, covered porch, fire pit for watching the clouds roll over the mountains. Enjoy privacy, seclusion with the benefits of Highlands, a few miles away. Close to hikes, waterfalls and local activities. Whether spring blossoms, rain showers, colors of fall, your visit will be invigorating.

Mountain Air Cabin

Adorable & freshly renovated cabin located in a private wooded community between Highlands and Franklin in the Nantahala National Forest. Our light & airy cabin is nestled on almost 4 acres of woodsy, mountainous terrain and is private and picturesque, yet still convenient to town. We love relaxing on the front porch, surrounded by nature and enjoying the sounds of the streams & views of the mountains. It is a peaceful cabin to relax & enjoy the cool breezes and scenery of the Smoky Mountains.

You will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you are less than 10 minutes from downtown Clayton. The charming city has shops, coffee, restaurants, a brewery and Wander North Georgia. At 4,100 feet we have hiking, zip lining and waterfalls,romantic winters and summers with temps in the 70's - low 80's. You’ll love this place because of the coziness, warmth and charm of a classic mountain log cabin with all the modern comforts.
