Atelier an enchanting French studio

Atelier was inspired by painting holidays in France. It is a spacious studio at Hylands providing a base for escape, rest and adventure. It is cosy with a wood burner, uses high quality materials throughout, curated with love and care. Surrounded by beautiful gardens to explore, where you can dine al fresco or just sit and watch the wildlife and the ever changing views. It's 12 minutes walk to Kendal's many independent shops and restaurants, and 5 minutes to our local pub, the 'Riflemans Arms'.

Hingabarn, a unique place in a unique location

A traditional barn, set on the slopes of Whernside, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this truly is a secluded spot. Located at the end of a narrow track, it is surrounded by woodland, fields and two streams. The open plan, rustic style suits couples, small groups and some families, and is ideal as a base for outdoor activities. A peaceful dog-friendly rural retreat with walks on your doorstep, exclusive use of the garden, charcoal BBQ, pizza oven, and a wood-fired hot tub to relax in.

Rural getaway with a view – Old Spout Barn

Old Spout Barn has been renovated into a luxury two bedroomed Holiday Cottage with a multi fuel burner, picture window to capture the breath-taking views of the Howgill Fells and a bespoke well equipped kitchen. The living area is open plan with T.V. & Wi-Fi throughout. There is a twin bedroom downstairs. Upstairs there is the Master bedroom and Bathroom with a shower and separate bath. The barn has private off-road parking for two vehicles and a Patio for you to enjoy the stunning views.

Cosy Corner - Sedbergh Main St. - for Dales&Lakes

Welcome to The Cosy Corner, a charming retreat for two in the beautifully situated market town of Sedbergh. Woven into the Victorian fabric of the Yorkshire Dales, The Cosy Corner sits on the first floor above a community run charity shop - a great vantage point to take in all the area has to offer. The perfect base for a relaxing break — ideally placed for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, with shops, eateries, cosy pubs and Winder Hill on your doorstep.

The Old Potting Shed, cosy retreat with hot tub

The Old Potting Shed is a romantic hideaway for two set in the walled garden of the owners' house with its own private entrance. The retreat is totally secluded, but still just a minutes walk to Sedbergh's lovely pubs and cafes. It's the perfect base: head out walking in the hills straight from your door or use our electric bikes to explore the quiet lanes. When you get back, soak in the wood fired hot tub and enjoy a drink on the terrace while admiring the wonderful view of the fells.

This recently renovated barn is in a country setting a mile from Orton village in the Westmorland Dales bordering the Lake District National park. Approx 5 minutes from J38 &39 of M6, in easy reach of Orton village’s amenities of pub, cafe, shop, chocolate factory and local farm shop. Ideal as base a for exploring the local area or a stopover en-route to & from the north. Dogs welcome with enclosed garden and walks from the doorstep. Siskin cottage is solar powered and semi detached, with plant lovers gardens front and back. There's a wildlife pond full of frogs and numerous bird feeders. Seating areas encourage you to enjoy the tranquility. A shed for bike storage & parking for two cars. Inside natural light is celebrated with a light decor and glass doors. Downstairs is tiled throughout, ideal if you arrive a bit damp and great if you're bringing a dog! Well equipped kitchen and a piano!

Tizzer's Wash House

If you love quirky and cosy look no further. A unique, compact retreat in the historic former market town of Dent hidden away in a less visited but stunning corner of the Dales. Ideally located for the Dalesway and Three peaks walks and within 5 minute walk of pubs and cafes with easy riverside walks down Dentdale or mountains for the committed walker. The Wash House was lovingly crafted by the owner; an artist and award winning holiday cottage designer.
