This beautiful 600 sq foot cottage is perfect for vacation or long weekend getaways! It is a one bedroom, queen bed, with a blow up mattress. We offer 5 beautiful, private and quiet acres of forest in Cedar Mountain. The cabin is just 1.5 miles from the entrance of Dupont Forest. Bike or hike the trails and come back to put your feet in the creek at one of the most relaxing places you'll find. Lots of space for your dog or kids run and explore. BIG yard with a creek, bonfire pit and rope swigs overlooked by the large porch of the cabin above is perfect after a day on the trail. The 1/4 mile of creek has a trail to explore as well.

Cottage at Gear Down

Southern Comfort at it's finest. Country living with easy access to all the art, music, and food that Brevard has to offer. Perfect for mountain bikers and hikers! Just twenty minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to Dupont State Forest. We took the 1950 cabin, home to the legendary bootlegger Clyde McCall, lifted it up and put a new footer, foundation, and sun room addition. Next, we set it back down and totally refurbished from the studs out. Everything is new inside and out.

Our home in Pisgah Forest is in the land of waterfalls. The apartment has a full kitchen, large shower and a fire pit on the deck for your enjoyment This area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, music lovers, hikers and cyclists. If you are planning to visit our state and national parks, please check to see which trails are open. Downtown Brevard is a quaint mountain town with unique shops, a variety of restaurants and art galleries and is just 15 from the apartment.
