Professional Photoshoot in Helsinki
We normally meet in front of Oodi, but if you wish we can come and meet you somewhere else too, for example by the Railway Station. We can get some coffee or tea before starting and get to know each other and find out what kind of photos you desire to have. Routes can vary depending on weather conditions and your hopes. Maybe you want to go to the harbour, or to some close by neighbourhoods? If you haven’t been in Suomenlinna yet, we suggest we hop on the ferry to get some amazing pictures while there. It’s all up to you what kind of pictures you want, but don’t worry if you are not sure, we’ll have plenty of ideas in our pockets. Our goal is to create a connection between us and our guests through photography. After we are finished and you guys are happy with the pictures, we’ll hand you a little souvenir to take home! It also wouldn’t be the first time when the photoshoot ends in all of us going to a restaurant or a bar to continue the night together! We can work on them the same evening and will email minimum of 40 photographs to you the very next day. We are welcoming locals as well as tourists and encouraging our guest to challenge us. The more accessories, costumes and ideas our guests bring, the better. Or if you need something from us, maybe even just a warm jacket, just let us know and well try our best to make it happen!

Professional photoshoot in Helsinki
We meet near the main railway station or somewhere else in the city center. The place of the photoshoot depends on the weather conditions, the location is negotiated before a photoshoot. I know nice places in Helsinki, starting with the city center and finishing with natural areas. If you prefer the center, we can take photos in the park of Botanical garden, the Senate square, Katajanokka, or the Töölö and Eira neighbourhoods. However, if you want to get picturesque photos in the Nordic nature, we can take a walk on the Lauttasaari island or Suomenlinna island (a 20 min ferry trip). As a result, you’ll have 25-30 professionally edited photos within 14 days. Things to note: Before a photoshoot, I discuss outfits or, at least, colours of your clothes. It’s essential, because it affects the result. I send you examples of clothes that will perfectly suit for a shoot in the location of your choice. In the spring and summer season I don’t take photos in the midday, because of the harsh light. If you want to get beautiful and warm pictures it’s better to book a photoshoot after 19:00. We have a long light day in Finland at this season. If you need a photoshoot in the middle of the day, I’m open for discussion. Please, contact me for time outside the schedule. My main goal is that you get beautiful photos from mesmerising Helsinki, which will keep you warm with good memories.

In my felt wool workshop, you will learn hands-on to make a wool sculpture such as a wool pearl necklace. In the end you will have an art piece finished by your own hands that you can keep - as well as skills to make more similar works later at home. I have extensive collection of felt wool of different colors to choose from and combine. You will learn the technique of needle felting where you shape the wool by successive poking with a felting needle. I can also introduce to you the technique of wet-felting where the felt is formed from wool with special rubbing in warm soap water. We will start with simple shapes like ball and towards the end of the workshop proceed creating more sophisticated shapes with combined colors. Great for team-building.

Magical Taiga Forest Hike
This day trip takes us off the beaten path to Liesjärvi national park, a breathtaking landscape carved by glaciers and shrouded by old-growth forest that will provide a magical setting to spend the day exploring nature. The park itself is a wonderful place for foraging wild foods such as blueberries, lingonberries, chanterelle mushrooms, porcini mushrooms and many more. As I have studied here in Finland as a wilderness guide, my passion lies in the knowledge of nature, so we will be stopping along our walk to talk about our surroundings, search for seasonal wild foods, and really enjoy the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of this wild national park. For lunch, I will prepare a delicious campfire meal that typically includes smoked salmon soup, rye bread, blueberry pie, and coffee/tea. Please note that the specific lunch offerings may vary depending on the season and any dietary requirements. Extra info: Our drive there will have a bathroom break/coffee stop approximately 25 minutes before entering the park. The walking trail is approx. 5 km and only requires a basic level of fitness and regular shoes. I have rain jackets in case of bad weather and often the weather is much less intense outside of Helsinki, so do not worry too much about the sideways rain in the market square! - Other dates available upon request -
Helsinki Tram Tour with a City Planner
Helsinki; the city where things work, and public transportation is no exception. It works flawlessly and is ranked among the best, not just in Europe but in the world. Helsinki also has one of the oldest tram systems in the world that dates back to 1891! In the city center areas, trams are the first choice of the locals when it comes to transportation. For Helsinkians, the sound of the trams in the neighborhoods, especially during the silent nights, is a delightful and comforting thing. In this tour, we will visit various parts of this beautiful city that would not have tourist crowds and you will enjoy it like a local, by using the famous tram system of Helsinki. You will discover hidden locations that you wouldn’t find in standard tour itineraries; places full of secret parks, beautiful cafes and pubs, flea markets, great views and needless to say impressive architecture. We will have a beautiful route covering various neighborhoods: Kruununhaka, Punavuori, Eira, Ullanlinna, Kaartinkaupunki, Kamppi, Töölö. Helsinki Architecture Tour with a City Planner
Helsinki is a gem for architecture enthusiasts. It is difficult to find another urban space that houses a wide range of architectural styles like Helsinki; neoclassical, neorenaissance, neogothic, art nouveau-jugendstil, nordic classicism, modernism, and contemporary styles in a compact city centre. In addition to its rich architectural history and variety, Helsinki was chosen as the World Design Capital in 2012 and was awarded with City of Design status by UNESCO in 2014. All these features coupled with the importance given to design elevated Helsinki into being a major city of architecture. Different historical periods left their marks on Helsinki; however it is easy to miss these great works of world renowned architects (from Engel to Saarinen, from Sonck to Aalto) in ordinary city tours as there are layers of architecture in each corner of the white city of the North. We will start our tour at the historical centre, visiting various landmarks, and then make our way to the modern centre. I will explain the political, social, cultural, economic changes and trends that gave way to various style changes in Finland so you will get a clear picture of Finnish design and architecture’s progress over two centuries. This architecture tour also offers you superb opportunities for taking great pictures on our route. Please check out my bio to go to my website for various tours.

Ice Fishing in Helsinki Region
