Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. With only a short 3 minute walk to the town centre and an even shorter walk to see the famous Robert Burns house and Burns Mausoleum - The final resting place of our beloved poet. If none of those interest you, you could climb Criffel hill, visit Mabie forest to enjoy its vast choice of walks and 7 stanes mountain biking trails, or just enjoy a peaceful walk by the river in Dock park. Plenty of shops and bars.

Apricity Cottage is a perfect place to relax in a calm and beautiful space. The central location provides a great base to explore all that the Artists Town of Kirkcudbright has to offer. This newly refurbished cottage has interiors designed by a local, proffesssional interior designer giving it a cosy, stylish ambiance further enhanced by the log burning stove and luxury furnishings. The south facing cottage gives a light airy feel throughout and has a small outside space for drinks and dining.

The Sea Cubby, Private Holiday Lodge, Portling.

The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first.

Located on the idyllic Solway estuary, metres from the water's edge, surrounded by the renowned RSPB Campfield Marsh. By a unique wetland of raised peat bogs, marshes and ponds, A haven for a huge variety of bird life, shoreline waders to geese to owls and woodpeckers. Located amid Low Abbey's woodland, rich with narcissi and bluebells in the spring, adjacent to the old damson orchard, at the end of Hadrian's Wall. A truly luxurious shepherd's hut with all amenities for a great stay.

Corn-mill Corner

Set in the picturesque and peaceful village of New Abbey. The accommodation comprises of a large double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, dressing table and drawer space. Upstairs is the kitchen/living area and a shower room. There is a double sofa bed in the living area allowing beds for 4 people but also available is a single bed which can be placed in the main bedroom for any young children. The perfect romantic retreat, Swallows Rest, is a converted 18th century hay barn. Belonging to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House, it offers all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the character of such an historic building. The ground floor contains an open plan living room, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There is a utility room accessed via a low stone doorframe. It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.
