We created this space as a personal escape from our busy city lives and a place to re-energize in solace under the desert sky. Please explore our pictures and the description below, but feel free to contact us with additional comments and questions. The Dome in the Desert rests on multiple acres and is secluded from neighbors so you can enjoy sprawling desert mountain views and the star-filled night sky in privacy. Yet, it is conveniently located only a few miles from the wonderful town center of Joshua Tree including restaurants and entertainment, and the Joshua Tree National Park visitors center on Park Blvd. On the interior, the Dome features modern-bohemian decor including many items we personally designed and hand crafted. As you explore the Dome, you will find antique books and games along with natural wood and stone elements to stimulate your mind and spirit. If staying in is what you need, the Dome offers a full kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, microwave, and most importantly, an assortment of coffee preparation devices including a French Press, Moka Pot, and drip coffee maker. The Dome features a memory foam King Size bed in the master bedroom as well as a daybed in the sun room that turns into a King Size bed if necessary. During cold nights, the Dome is heated with a natural wood burning stove (bring your firewood) and a few carefully placed space heaters. On warm nights, the Dome has two AC units located in the living room and main bedroom. You will not find a television on the premises, but we do offer Wi-Fi free of charge just in case you want to stream a movie, video-chat with family and friends, or post that perfect Instagram photo. Whether you stay with us or at one of the other amazing spaces on Airbnb, we hope you experience the near-magical nature of the desert and all the sensations that come with this wonderful place we call Joshua Tree. The Dome on the Range with Sweeping Mountain Preserve Views

Step out onto the deck for a night of stargazing at this unique geodesic house in the desert with exposed stone, beams, and rustic warmth. Take a hike in the neighboring mountain preserve, then fire up the barbecue in the yard and watch the sunset. Our property consists of two domes and a tower, and this listing is for one of the Domes. It is completely self-contained and private. We have a wonderful, unique, and unusual property consisting of two geodesic domes and a tower. This listing is for the North dome only. Check my other listings for availability of the other spaces. Guests have access to a fabulous view, kitchenette (sink, microwave, mini fridge), bedroom, and living room! Shared washer/dryer and viewing deck. Due to the unusual location we do have security cameras installed. There is a roof camera which you can see at http://www.patrickharvey.com/domes The viewing deck is attached to another bedroom and is a shared space, so please be respectful when using it. There are no stairs except to the viewing deck. The driveway to this property is very steep! The back yard is mountain preserve and there is wildlife that you would expect in the desert, including quail, road runners, rabbits, etc. Amenities include a washer/dryer, barbecue, and the view! Bathroom is your private full bath and includes a hair dryer. We do not live in this property but we visit often. We will be there to check you in and give you a tour of the home. The Sunnyslope area near the Ocotillo Hills is home to luxury properties and many nearby restaurants. The backyard is a mountain preserve and there is plenty of desert wildlife to watch, including quail, road runners, and rabbits.

The Horizon Dome

Our dome is a half-moon structure that features a king-size memory foam bed and an outdoor shower under a pepper tree, while the deck provides stunning views of the hilltop. We're located in a gated community close to all major attractions, and guests can enjoy beautiful sunsets, starry skies, ocean breeze, and bird watching (21 different kinds). The dome is 200 sqft with AC/heater, an outhouse (composting toilet), and outdoor showers, making it a perfect choice for glamping.

Tucked in the trees, this unique dome cabin is perfect for an Idyllwild mountain getaway! Ridge Dome has a hot tub too! The living room showcases the creative woodwork of the dome, has large beautiful windows and a fireplace. An upstairs loft has a king bed and skylights with a view of the stars and a master bath with a jacuzzi tub. A downstairs bedroom has a comfy convertible queen size sofa. Pets welcome!
