The cabin was designed to create ways to enjoy each other and the peaceful ambiance. We encourage guests to enjoy the property but if exploring is your thing, the area is great- located in the American Viticultural Areas / The Yadkin Valley AVA with vineyards plus hiking, horseback riding and other activities!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place . I have trails in the woods on east and south. My place is 15 min away from Pilot Mountain states park and 25 min from Hanging rock state park. The house is 12 min by car (8 miles) from Mount Airy ,Andy Griffit's home town. There are many wineries with home made wine close by, situated in the mountain with mesmerizing views. My place is child and pets friendly with zipline, 2 trampolines, own gym, fish pond , fountains, hammocks and swings.

The "Midnight Moon" Cabin, State Road NC

Take it easy at our relaxing cabin while taking a step back in time. Located in State Road, NC, our cabin is made of 100-year-old logs by the one and only "Log Whisperer". The "Midnight Moon" is named after the black Quarter Horse "Moon" who joined his Mom in heaven in Dec. 2024. Spirit, our other black QH, remains at the cabin with his cow friends and new goat herd, who often graze the pastures surrounding our cabin. Relax by the fire or enjoy checkers on the porch, just soak it all in.

Perched in the mountains, the main side of the house offers two downstairs bedrooms (king and queen), an upstairs loft with two full beds, exercise equipment and workspace. A fully equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining area, fireplace, and washer/dryer ensure comfort. The in-law suite boasts a similar setup. Both sides share a deck with a hot tub, grill, and scenic views. A vast play field by a creek, firepit, and basement with entertainment options complete this idyllic retreat.

Enjoy your own private patio, entrance and accomodations on the basement level of our beautiful brick home. We know you will love it as much as we do! (Host lives on 1st floor with separate entrance.)
