TOURS IN THE LONGEST CAVE OF BUDAPEST
We created this tour to show a very unique place for those who are ready to make efforts off the beaten track! We will visit a natural labyrinth system – a 3 dimensional playground, where we will often have to clamber up steep walls and creep through narrow passages. Prepare yourself for something active! - We will meet up near the cave (30-45 minutes from the city by bus, still in the residential Budapest) - You can change your clothes at the changing room, and we will give you the necessary equipment. - We will spend 2,5-3 hours under the ground. We will discover a small part of a 30 km long multi-level labyrinth system. As the cave is practically a maze with a network of passages, we can always find the path which fits your level of fitness. In means that we can do a relatively easy tour (still challenging), or an „adrenaline-pumping” tour - it’s up to you! - The tour is very interactive with a friendly atmosphere and English-speaking expert hosts. - It’s a perfect occasion to meet new people and maybe make new frindships - as there will be situations where cooperation makes your way easier. - After the tour you can chill at the moody beer terrace of the cave. Other things to note This is NOT an outdoor experience, it doesn't depend on the weather. Age limit: 10-55 years. No prior experience of caving needed. It is an active tour so we don't suggest it to very overweight people

TasteVodka - Polish Vodka Tasting Tour
We kick things off at the first bar with a big spread of Polish style tapas. Think fresh crusty breads, tasty cured meats, smoked and salted mountain cheeses. With the food you’ll be sampling two incredible and historic Polish clear vodkas while taking our crash course in vodka history, production and culture. There's lots of funny stories and we keep the history short and sweet although us guides will be more than happy to go into more detail throughout the tour. We’ll then take you on an adventure through the cobblestone streets of Kraków’s UNESCO World Heritage Old Town to explore the city’s hidden vodka bars and cafes. You’ll step back in time through the doors of a communist era shot bar, explore one of Europe’s only home-made flavoured vodka cafes and get cosy in a hole-in-the wall candlelit vodka bar boasting more than one-hundred varieties. The flavoured vodkas really are mind-blowingly good and there's more than two-hundred varieties stocked by the bars on the tour. At the end of the tour we'll be stopping off to check out the city’s best Pierogi in our favourite foodie joint, perfect to soak up all the vodka and make sure you're not too wobbly on your feet :) Other things to note Please do not arrive intoxicated. It is illegal for you to be served. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and cannot participate in the consumption of alcohol on the tour.
Hands on Pierogi Making Class
Join us for our pierogi cooking class, a delightful two-hour workshop hosted at a local restaurant. The experience will be guided by us—enthusiastic locals who hold the timeless secrets passed down from our grandmothers: the cherished pierogi recipe. Under our expert guidance, you'll craft these delectable parcels of joy from scratch. From kneading the dough to folding and filling, you'll master the very essence of pierogi creation. But that's not all! After perfecting your pierogi, you'll have the pleasure of savoring and enjoying your homemade delicacies accompanied by a local beer or a glass of wine. Throughout the class, we'll explore two distinct types of pierogi: 1. Pierogi Ruskie, also known as Ruthenian Dumplings—the main type of pierogi in Poland. The filling consists of boiled potatoes combined with creamy and tangy white cheese (twaróg). 2. Sweet Pierogi with fresh fruits—fruit-filled pierogi are cherished as a main course during summer and autumn. You'll have the chance to prepare pierogi with fruits currently in season. We're excited to invite you to share a taste of our childhood memories and beloved family traditions. By joining us, you'll connect with the warmth and nostalgia that pierogi evoke. WALK BENEATH THE CITY: EASY CAVE TOUR
Spending the day cave-exploring is one of the lesser known ways to enjoy Budapest. We designed this tour for those who want something more active and less touristic than museums and ruin pubs. This walk is a relaxed way to visit two caves, in addition we will enter into sections which are closed from other tourists. Join us if you are a natural history lover, if you travel with your adventure-seeker kids, or if you’re just looking for a getaway from the city traffic. - We will visit two caves. The tour takes 2,5-3 hours. We will meet up at Szemlő-hegyi Cave. We will spend 50 minutes there and then take a 10 minute walk to Pál-völgyi Cave, where we will do an hour-long tour. Both caves have safe pathways and lighting. - The first cave is called the ”underground flower garden” of Budapest because of its floriform mineral concretions, peastones, cauliflowers and gypsum crystals. - Our second site is a labyrinth of narrow passages and hollow spaces. We will enter the petrified world of fabular stalactites and stalagmites and amazing rock-formations. You will need to be ready to climb some stairs: we will climb more than 400 stairs and a 7 meter long ladder. Other things to note Note that these caves can also be visited on a lower price by joining the regular Hungarian guided tours. „Walk beneath the city” is a private tour for small groups with detailed English explanation.
