An additional small bedroom with a single bed is perfect for a 3rd guest or more space to spread out. Close to major attractions of the area and ideal to access the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. A cosy cedar chalet on peaceful land to the rear of Owhango village overlooking Tongariro forest. Sleeps up to 6. Only 25 mins to ski fields; 15 mins to Tongariro crossing bus shuttle at National Park village. Nearby Ohinetonga reserve is famed for trout fishing, rare whio whio blue ducks, swim holes and the renowned 42nd Traverse bike and running track. Also directly on Te Araroa long distance trail. 15 mins to Taumaranui town. Owhango has a delish cafe too! Pricing is for up to 4 persons.

Soothing Riverside Cabin, Taumarunui

No cleaning fee, minimum 2 night stay. Cabin is a bedroom only, toilet, shower and kitchen located separately a few metres away. You are on the tip of a peninsula in the Whanganui River. Lie in bed and watch the fish rise in the morning, sit around the fire in the evening enjoying the peace and quiet after a swim. Mountains are 40 mins away, kayaking tours 10 mins away and Taumarunui is 12km. Please don't bring water, free, safe water is provided. Limiting plastic is much appreciated.

Welcome to ALBA, our little cottage. Located on a, semi-rural cul-de-sac 5 mins from Turangi. There is NO wifi Our cosy cottage has two bedrooms, large bathroom/laundry space and an open plan kitchen, dining, living area heated by a large heat pump. The mighty Tongariro River with its world famous trout fishing pools is at the end of the road, the Turangi township is a 5 min drive or a beautiful walk past the river and the Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro crossing are only 40mins away.
