Tawharanui Peninsula/Matakana Escape

Welcome to my hidden gem, surrounded by native bush with a breathtaking view of Millon and Kawau Bays. Perfect for a winter escape... relax by the cosy fire with a book, enjoy BBQs on the deck weather permitting, or simply listen to the sound of native birds. The bay can be accessed directly from the property via some steps. It's only a short drive to Tāwharanui Regional Park, Matakana Village for cafes, restaurants, cinema and the famous Matakana Saturday Markets, Omaha Beach and Goat Island.

Our family friendly, self contained guesthouse is situated on a beautiful lifestyle block, only 12 minutes drive from Matakana and 2 minutes from the incredible Mathesons Bay and surrounding Leigh area. Sleeping 4, this spacious guesthouse has a bedroom with double bed, and a loft with a super king Ecosa mattress and views of the stars through a skylight. Matheson Bay - Te Kohuroa Bach

An hour north of Auckland. 12 minutes from Matakana and 10 minutes from Goat Island. 5 minutes walk from the beach. Great for swimming at any tide, with a pontoon and excellent diving. The bach is nestled in the bush, sea views and visiting kereru. There is a big deck, partially covered, a big living area, a table that can seat 12 and a fully kitted out kitchen. It is a family bach built in the 60s lots of plates, cutlery, glasses and mugs but they don’t all match.
