Arthur's Pass Ecolodge - unique off grid living

Only 10mins south of Arthur's Pass Village, on SH73, the Ecolodge overlooks the expansive Waimakariri River and mountains of the National Park. Experience "off grid" living at its best on a small environmental footprint. To stay costs $175 per night for bed and homemade breakfast (for 2 people). You have the option to book up to 4 people in your group, as I have two Queen rooms available. I'm more than happy to share a 2-course meal + wine/beer for $35 pp and spend time sharing stories.

The 2-bedroom unit has a Queen room & twin room plus bathroom & offers a clean & comfortable stay for an easy stopover or to spend a few nights. Facilities include tea & coffee, kettle, microwave, toaster and mini-fridge. The property is 20 minutes from Franz Josef & offers mountain views from your deck, centralized near a local café & grocer, petrol station, children's playground, and tour companies including the White Heron Sanctuary Tours with nature & adventure on the doorstep.

Southern Cross Suite - Panoramic Lake Views

The Southern Cross is bright and cheery with a bit or a botanical feel. Lie in bed and watch the sun set on the Remarkables. With private balcony and half turret sitting room with window seating you can feel very at one with nature. It is a perfect spot to sit and watch the native Bellbirds and Tuis. There are stunning views of everything from The Remarkables, Lake Wakatipu, Cecil and Walter Peak. Freshly snow capped on a cold morning, Cecil will speak to your soul.

The Barn at Killin - French Room

The Barn at Killin is a family owned private property, set back off the shores of Lake Ohau, at the foot hills of the majestic Southern Alps in the heart of the Mackenzie country. Secluded on 25 acres, The Barn offers stunning mountain, high country & lake views & private access to Lake Middleton. The guest accommodation is on the second storey of the barn & offers four luxurious super king rooms with beautiful private ensuites, all newly built and decorated.

Since the 1920s the Poolburn Hotel has been the meeting place of the Ida Valley. Nestled in the remote highlands of Central Otago, between Dunedin and the Lakes District, the valley is home to a close-knit farming community. Amuri Estate Lodge allows for a great get away. Three tastefully decorated comfortable rooms with joint, kitchen, dining and lounge facilities all warmed by a double sided schist gas fire and under floor heating. Our guest rooms have their own distinctive character and unique views. This room contains a super-king size bed with en-suite toilet and shower.
