Bakehouse Cottage - Kauaeranga Valley

A tastefully renovated 1 bedroom, fully self -contained Victorian cottage set in 3.5 acres of tranquil, park-like rural land. The property backs onto the Kauaeranga River, a beautiful clean flowing river with an idyllic swimming hole at the end of the property. The majestic Pinnacles walking track is at the end of the road. The cottage is just 5km from the centre of Thames township; everything is nearby, including the popular Hauraki Rail Trail which is a 3.5km cycle from Bakehouse Cottage.

Mountain View Retreat

There is 1 cabin with bedroom ,1 cabin with kitchenette and couch and 1 cabin with toilet and shower...Private, next to bush and stream with view of the mountain..There is lots of outdoor space to relax in..with outdoor fireplace...the sound of running water..bush... close to rail trail..and bush walks, in the heart of gold mining history. lf you like peace and nature you will be happy here. Grab a bean bag and a book,sit in the bush or on the bush edge and allow nature to nurse you and relax.

Yurt Thames : Gateway to the Coromandel

Our property, though a mere 10 minute walk into Thames township, is a peaceful and quiet oasis of abundant flora and fauna, nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Coromandel. Thames offers many attractions: visit museums and mines, walk the bush tracks, swim in the river or up the coast, dine in a diversity of restaurants/cafe's, go to the Saturday market, and ride the rail trail.

We are perfectly situated for easy day trips to Hot water beach or Cathedral cove & many other Coromandel beaches. We are 5 mins drive to Thames town, cafes & restaurants. Come relax & unwind & recharge your batteries. We are 1 hour 20 mins from Auckland international Airport. Sorry no late check-out.

Tropical beach side cottage.

Fabulous on Thames coast. Stylish, well appointed 1 bedroom cottage, open plan living, dining, kitchen with direct access to lovely outdoor relaxation areas. A quiet haven off the main road, only 100 mtrs easy walk to beach reserve and fishing. Enjoy the birdsong, sunrise and daytime hours in the shady, tropical garden at the rear of the house with its generous outdoor seating and dining facilities, and take in the sunset from the deck and coastal garden in the front of the house.

Fantail Studio

Our light and cosy studio is situated under our house with its own entrance and is equipped with all you might need for a comfortable stay including continental breakfast. You can sit outside undercover and enjoy an al fresco breakfast. There is a pool table and darts for you to waste time on. All good fun. We love friendly Thames with its unique shops and cafes and hope that you will enjoy it too. Thames is ideally situated for exploring the Coromandel and the northern Waikato.

Riverhaven Cottage

Riverhaven Cottage is situated in a peaceful rural setting yet only 5 minutes from Thames township. You will enjoy hill and valley views from our purpose built Guesthouse. Swim in the beautiful clear river, take one of the many hikes through pristine native bush or bike the Hauraki Rail Trail, it's all on our doorstep. A comfortable drive away are the east coast beaches, including Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. Just 1 hour 20 minutes from Auckland International Airport.

Te-Ana Dome

Escape to a lovely tranquil setting in this romantic eco based retreat surrounded by nature situated only 1.5 hours from Auckland. Perfect in any weather. Situated at the start of the Kauearanga Valley with numerous bush walks and river swimming nearby. Close to the rail trail for biking or into town for a coffee. Maybe have a spa while watching the sunset over the hills, sit on the deck reading, or toast marshmallows over the gas firepit. Glamping at its best.

Geoff's Pad in Thames

Our AirBnB is a separate, self-contained wing of our beautiful new home in Totara, 3kms south of Thames Township and gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula. We are about an hour’s drive from Auckland International Airport and close to the many and varied attractions of the Coromandel and the Waikato Region. Easy access to the Hauraki Rail Trail. From our elevated position there are uninterrupted views over the township, Firth of Thames and the Kauaeranga Valley.

Cabin in the Woods

Sweet little cabin in the woods that we promise is definitely not the start of a B-grade horror flick (unless you're not great with the odd bug and some low-fi living) A bit of a glamping experience - we use solar lights and a camp stove, but there is some pretty great luxury features. Theres now a wee outdoor patio area, extra comfy couches and the valleys finest loft-based chillzone that takes advantage of the awesome views of the surrounding hills.

Rustic Kauaeranga Valley Cabin.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. We offer a small cabin with rural views & access to a large private swimming hole with a sandy beach. There is no internet or TV so you can have a quiet getaway where you can forget the stresses of life & relax. We are on the Kauaeranga Valley Rd close to all the walking tracks, so if you are wanting to walk the tracks during the day & stay with us at night the cabin would be perfect for you.
