It is a short walk along the river or by the castle, to the village where you will find independent shops, local pubs and restaurants. Cross House Studio is situated in the very centre of this popular, picturesque and historic village only 500 yards from the castle. Shops, friendly village pubs, lovely cafes and unique bistros are all within 50 yards but the property still provides a quiet retreat being tucked away behind the main high street. Bancha, Amble. Homely, spacious, stylish.

Our lovely house has been a labour of love. My partner, Richard, with help from his brother, has put his heart into renovating and remodelling the house to a style we love. My part was sourcing all the retro furniture, tiles and paint colours which happens to be one of my favourite pastimes! The house reflects our quirky taste and my love of mid century furniture! Recently refurbished in November 2025, Marine Cottage is a beautifully presented stone-built, mid-terraced property located in the very heart of Amble, with only a few minutes walk to the harbour and beach. Shops, cafe’s and acclaimed local restaurants. The small beach with rocky outcrops has views towards the RSPB reserve Coquet Island, where puffins and grey seals are regularly seen is only a gentle stroll from Marine Cottage.
