Walk to the nearby Mercantile for breakfast/lunch or drive into the nearby towns of Cuchara or La Veta for dinner. A comfortable retreat for those seeking time in the wilderness. La Veta House

Updated, sunny, two bedroom house in beautiful La Veta, Colorado. You are a short two block walk from local shops like Charlies Market, and a 15 minute drive to the town of Cuchara. Large open kitchen and living are with dining table and Roku TV. Master bedroom with King bed, love seat, dresser, closet, smart tv. Master bath with tub. Bedroom two has a full bed with an optional pull out twin trundle. Bathroom two can be accessed by second bedroom or main living space and has a shower.

Beautiful Chicosa Canyon

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This beautiful and historic getaway is only 15 miles from downtown Trinidad. Nestled in the heart of Chicosa Canyon is filled with wildlife and has many interesting rock formations and stone carvings. Go exploring this 65 acre property that is filled with natural wonders including a cave. Also a great place to see ufo's/ uap's in the star filled sky. We are close to the area that was featured on Beyond Skinwalker Ranch three times.

It is pet friendly and includes laundry facilities. Coffee shops, galleries, restaurants, brew pub nearby. 3 miles to Lathrop State Park for fishing, swimming, hiking, boating! Mountains nearby for 4-wheeling and hiking! Only 90 miles to The Great Sand Dunes and hot springs! Easy no-work check-out!

River's Bend

Located on the bank of the Cucharas River, the River's Bend ideal mountain retreat is geared for a family vacation, or personal restorative get away. This two beadroom, 3 bath cabin can accomadate up to six guests in the main cabin with use of the luxury cots in the spacious sunroom. With special arrangements, the detatched Sleeping Hut outfitted with queen bed and sleeping loft offers additional beds and the best sleep you will ever experience!

Wahatoya Guesthouse

Wahatoya Guesthouse is approximately one mile from La Veta. This spot is private and tranquil, with amazing views of the Spanish Peaks. You will be within walking distance of two Colorado State Wildlife lakes that offer fishing and hiking. The quaint town of La Veta offers art galleries, Francisco Fort Museum, a brewery, live music, locally owned restaurants and businesses, including a wonderful grocery store and soda fountain.
