The Back Forty Solar Cottage

Fernances Creek Farm is one hour north of Sydney in the picturesque Wollombi Valley. Ten minutes from Laguna with the Watagan Mountains and Yengo National Park on our doorstep. The Hunter Valley vineyards start here, with Broke & Pokolbin vineyards 45 minutes away. We are a Haflinger Horse stud on 210 acres, with show jumping and eventing facilities. Great for couples and families, the Back Forty Solar Cottage is a fully featured off grid solar home with all of the comforts and space to relax.

Enjoy this serene a/con homestead on 12 acres as a couple hideaway or a place to connect with friends. Spacious, comfortable with every need catered for. Gorgeous open outlook set next to a small brook. Paradise with acres to explore wildlife, bikes, trampoline, cubby, sports equipment, board games, wifi and DVDs. Relax by the fireplace or on any of the six park benches as the wildlife chirps the day away or listen to your music on the outdoor sound system echoing across your hidden valley.

Acacia Cottage at Wattle Valley Farm

Acacia Cottage is a recently refurbished modern country cabin on the doorstep of the Hunter Valley wine region, which makes this an ideal base from which to explore everything this region has to offer. The cottage is situated on Wattle Valley Farm adjacent to our living quarters and a short walk to the iconic Wollombi Brook. During your stay, you might even come across some of our friendly native residents like wombats, kangaroos, playpus, echidnas, goannas, kookaburras and black cockatoos.

Wake up to nature, valley views, and a backdrop of natural bushland. Adults only retreat, reconnect and relax in this new, stylish intimate getaway for two. Hollybrook, a historic dairy farm, is an easy 2 hr drive from Sydney, and 1 hour from Newcastle. Cabin 1 is perfect for those with limited mobility. Close to major wedding venues: Redleaf, Woodhouse and Stonehurst, wineries and everything Hunter & local. Please note: We do not cater for children under 12, nor pets, at this time.

Allawah Tiny Home Bush Retreat

Our charming Eco friendly off grid Tiny home is designed in a private secluded location to unwind, relax, escape the city life and enjoy everything the Hunter Valley has to offer. We are situated on beautiful private bush property just outside of Laguna in the Lower Hunter Valley on 56 acres of land nestled between Yengo National Park and Watagan State Forest, looking down to the rolling valleys below, surrounded by curvaceous ridge lines and picturesque views towards the Northern horizon.

Minnalong Cottage This lovely one-bedroom, private cottage is set on a working horse property. It is perfect for a couple's getaway or single traveller to explore the beautiful Hunter Valley. It is conveniently situated for a self-guided tour of the Hunter Valley vineyards including Pokolbin, Wollombi and Broke. It is located at the base of the Watagan Mountains, with easy access for bush walking, picnics or 4WDing. Newcastle and beaches are 45 minutes drive away and Port Stephens 1 hour.

We are a popular choice for wedding guests with a 6 minute drive to Redleaf, Mystwood and Woodhouse and 10 minutes to Stonehurst. Great base for exploring the Hunter vineyards, attending concerts, bushwalking or just relaxing and watching cows wander past.

The Coop Country House, Millfield

Welcome to The Coop Country House. The perfect place to roost for the night! Enjoy a taste of Hunter Valley history in complete comfort. Originally the main house for the local chicken farm, the Guest Suite has been freshly renovated to include three comfortable King sized bedrooms, a relaxing sunroom, lounge and expansive bathroom. 15 minutes to historical Wollombi and 20 minutes from Pokolbin.
