The Carriage - A first class experience

Step back in time to this restored 1950's Pullman railway carriage, with the added luxury of 21st century amenities. The Carriage is set on tracks where the original line ran through Ullock on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, with the river Marron running below. Relive a unique journey with the addition of being able to step out onto the platform for sunbathing, breakfast or your evening meal then retire to the antique king sized bed with dressing room, ensuite and Eden toiletries.

Charming little Lakeland museum miner’s cottage

This unique little cottage has been specially decorated with interesting and quirky artefacts collected and found in the Lake District, original hiking boots, a 1720 chest with a story, each piece has a little tag explaining its history and where it came from. Not just a place to stay but a miniature museum of some of the wonders of the local area and Lakeland life its self. Located close to the Lake District, solway coast and Cockermouth, it’s the perfect affordable base… Come and explore!!

New house for your consideration in Workington

Nightly price now includes airbnb fees. New house situated 30 minutes from the Lake district. One large double bedroom one single bedroom small double bed. A fully equipped kitchen with the usual array of pots, pans and cutlery etc. There is a spacious lounge with. high speed fibre, TV and Netflix. Upstairs bathroom with shower and downstairs toilet room. The outside has a large onsite drive for at least two cars or two van type vehicles. One minute walk to local shops and buses into town.
