The Little House on the Hill

Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery, or get active in the mountains! Our little house on the hill is a calm and peaceful retreat close to the Brecon Beacons national park. There is easy access to mountain walks, cycle routes and local attractions, as well as shops, cafes and pubs both within walking distance and in the picturesque town of Ystradgynlais which is a 5 minute drive away. The house is a comfortable and cosy retreat to come back to at the end of a busy day exploring the local area.

Waterfall Country, National Caves nearby Swansea, Mumbles, Gower coastline and many so many other attractions within an hour’s drive.

if you want a peaceful getaway. The Sparrows is for you. Its a self contained cabin on a smallholding on top of a mountain with fantastic views. we have recycled all items in cabin, where possible,Its open plan with a double bed, heater, shower room, kitchen area and wifi, water comes from a mountain spring. Capel Cartref - a detached 5 bedroom holiday let, between Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and Swansea. Graded 4 star by Visit Wales it has 4 double beds, (1 en suite), plus 1 room with 2 single beds, plus a bath and shower room. (3 bathrooms in total). The kitchen is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, two fridge freezers. The lounge is spacious with extra upstairs seating . The garden is enclosed but beyond the back gate is parking for four cars.

No 1 Cathelyd Colliery Stables is a dog friendly property renovated from a pit pony stables. Next door, No 2 is slightly larger and can be booked separately on Airbnb. There are walks on the doorstep being next to the Cwm Clydach bird reserve and the cottage has its own private valley walk with a waterfall. We are situated 3 miles from J45 of the M4 with easy access to Swansea, Gower and the Brecon Beacons. The Swansea Cycle path is on the doorstep. The town is a mile away.

"The Barn" at the foothills of The Black Mountain

The Barn has five bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully functional kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and fridge, The Barn has three TVs. Bed linen and towels are provided. Located on the edge of the National Park, the cottage is in a peaceful and rural area with several walking routes nearby. Just a short drive up the lane are The Black Mountains
