Beautiful Period Fisherman's Cottage

Anchor cottage, an Historic Home and now with EV charger, is a delightful period, cottage situated in the heart of The Anchorage, once known as Mersea City on Mersea Island. It has three bedrooms, a large double, a twin room and a downstairs single bedroom. The bathroom is on the ground floor and large sitting/dining room with a gas heater and provides plenty of space for five people indoors and there is a private, wrap around garden with BBQ area that enjoys the sun at most times of the day.

Great base for working, visiting the area or relatives. Short walk to Essex University, 3 miles to Colchester and local villages. A practical first floor flat in Wivenhoe with double bedroom, lounge, sofa bed, bathroom and kitchen. Plenty of parking behind the flat, TV and unlimited broadband. A brilliant shop opposite, a friendly pub next door and bus stop outside with lots of other pubs and shops nearby. Nice walk down to the River Colne and have a drink or meal at the Rose & Crown.

From the front garden or even laying in bed, watch the tide slip in and out, the fishing boats come and go and live, for a while, in a world moving at a slower pace.

Perfect for couples and friends, unfortunately not suitable for children / infants. During your stay, you will have full private use (pre-booking required) of a fully-equipped wellness center and hydropool (3 hr private session included for each day of your stay) Situated in Peldon village, recently named as "the village of the year", only 4 miles away from the beach (Mersea Island) where you can take nice long walks along the coastline. 1 bedroom, en suite, lounge/dining and kitchen.

Self Contained Studio in Wivenhoe

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).
