Our converted coach house offers a cosy corner in the busy village of Downton from which to visit the historic cathedral city of Salisbury and the open spaces of the New Forest. Parts of the property date back to 1475 with links to the Bishops of Winchester. There is plenty on offer in and around the village, with local shops, gardens, pubs, walks and bicycle rides along the River Avon. Bournemouth beaches are not far away. We welcome dogs but do have a pet charge of £20 for their stay.
With parts of this unique cottage dating back to 1594, you will be a part of history when you come and stay in this beautiful mews cottage. The low ceilings and spiral staircase, mixed with modern fittings and South-facing windows create a special atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing holiday or as a base to explore Salisbury and the surrounding area. You will be a 3 min walk from the market square and within easy access to the excellent restaurants, pubs and shops that Salisbury has to offer.
