The Dorset Resort

The twelve 5 Star Scandinavian Log Homes at the Dorset Resort are made entirely from trees grown in the Nordic forests of Finland and available to rent from 2 days to 4 weeks. With 3 ensuite bedrooms, a further bathroom and 2 sofa beds the house is equipped to sleep 8 comfortably. Open plan living with fully equipped kitchen, linen and towels included for an easy break. The Old Reading Room West Stafford, Dorset.

The Victorian Reading Room of West Stafford is of historical importance. Used before the war as a Reading Room for the villagers and estate workers, the newspapers were provided, the village shop in the late 1930s, then a workshop and a store room for the church. We have now lovingly restored, decorated and furnished this amazing building into a cosy self catering holiday retreat, "far from the madding crowd" Open plan, comfy double sofabed, wood burner, country walks and fabulous village pub.

Our Chalet is a treasured home away from home, overlooking stunning Durdle Door, a World Heritage Site on the beautiful Dorset Jurassic Coast…. The chalet has a large decking overlooking the sea, it’s a total escape…..it has 1 King Double bedroom with en-suite, & 1 twin, 2 shower rooms & fully fitted modern kitchen/living area which opens onto the large decking area and panoramic views of the sea… to the left is Lulworth Cove, to the right the Isle of Portland, amazing sunrises and sunsets!

The Cabin offers a relaxing and private get away in West Dorset close to the Jurassic Coast. The Cabin is perfect for 2 adults with flexibility for a small cot & dogs are welcome. It has a private garden space overlooking nearby woodland. There is an open plan living & sleeping space with double doors opening onto the decking creating an inside out feel. The location offers easy access to nearby towns and coastal spots: Studland, Corfe, Wareham, Dorchester, Lulworth, Swange, Weymouth.

The Little Barn is a 200 year old, thatched, cob cottage. It is a self-contained studio guest room with an entrance in the garden of the main house. It is perfect for a couple using the comfortable king-sized bed. It is thoughtfully decorated and furnished with modern fittings, including a cleverly fitted kitchenette. This picturesque cottage is located in the quiet, rural setting of Shitterton, in the village of Bere Regis, Dorset. We are within easy reach of Dorset's many attractions.

Our House

Traditional cottage, mixing old with new. Large living area but with a cosy warm feel. Relax with the whole family. Stay in a small village with local shop and two pubs. So many well known attractions and beaches with in half an hour. Or just enjoy a walk though the fields or across the stream and into Mays Wood. The main bedroom opens up onto a roof decking with seating for morning coffee in the sun. Wooden steps lead down to the garden which can also be accessed from the kitchen.

A spacious and tranquil place to stay

A quiet, private space in the heart of a Dorset village, close to the Jurassic Coast. The recently-built Sika Lodge is set within the garden of a larger late Georgian property. It has a private entrance and accommodation on two floors. Durdle Door, Lulworth, Corfe Castle, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and Dorchester are all a short drive away, and are perfect for walking, fossil-hunting, shopping and eating out. Less than 5 minutes walk to mainline train station and bus routes.
